I was waiting for Ashton to answer and that's when the phone stopped ringing and I got nervous so I handed it over to Luke.

"I don't want it." He said handing it back to me, I gave it back to him right after and shook my head. "Addie." Luke said giving it back to me as Ashton's voice came through the phone.

"Hello?" He asked wondering who it was, although I'm sure he knew it was me, yet again maybe he didn't.

"Hey Ashton." I said shyly as I took a deep breath.

"Addie, hey." He said a bit cheerier and more alert now.

"We need to talk." I said straight forward getting it off my chest. Ashton sighed nervously.

"Yeah, okay. When?" He asked with a stutter.

"Now is good, I mean if you don't want to now we don't have to." I said too quickly for me to grasp what I was even saying at this moment.

"No, no, now's good with me unless it's a bad time for you?" Ashton said with a slight shy chuckle.

"No now's good I mean, I'm not busy or anything." I said, this is one of those times where neither of us know what to say.

"That's good, let me get ready then I'll be over." Ashton said as I heard shuffling in the background meaning he had gotten up.

"Okay, see you soon." I said and hung up because I felt so awkward about the conversation we just had.

"Nervous much?" Luke asked with a chuckle and I smacked him on the shoulder as he laughed out loud.

"Shut up, obviously I was." I said running my fingers through my hair and that's when my eyes widened. "Oh my god I have to go get dressed, look at me I look so- oh my god." I said freaking out as I ran up the stairs to go get ready.

I stripped out of my clothes and got into the shower trying to quickly take one and have time to get ready. I got finished within five minutes and got out quickly drying myself off. I grabbed a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and threw them on. I rushed down the stairs tripping and Luke rushing over to help me up but I smacked his hand and got up myself.

"Addie relax, it'll be okay love." Luke said pulling me into him for a comforting embrace and rubbing my back, he knew I was super nervous. "I'll take Lexi with me and you can be here and talk with Ashton, okay?" Luke said and my eyes widened.

"No don't leave me alone I'm not re-"

"Yes you are, Addie. You'll be alright just call me if something goes wrong." Luke said cutting me off. I nodded as Lexi ran up to me reaching her arms up for me to pick her up.

"You're going to go with uncle Luke baby, I'll see you in an hour or so okay?" I told her giving her a big kiss on the cheek.

"Okay mommy." She said giving me a kiss back before reaching over for Luke who gladly took her in his arms.

"You'll be alright." Luke said cupping one of my cheeks and giving me a kiss on my forehead as his thumb rubbed my cheek. I mouthed a thank you to him as he left with Lexi and I was alone waiting for Ashton.

I went into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water to ease my nerves a little bit, I was shaking I was so nervous. I started pacing back and forth until I heard a knock on the door and I jumped clapping my hand over my heart. I walked over towards the door and unlocked it before opening it, there he stood in a red flannel with black ripped skinny jeans and converse which isn't what he normally wears. He looked me up and down before shoving his hands nervously into his pockets as I let him in the house.

We both walked silently to the couch as we sat down at opposite ends and just looked at the ground and twiddled our thumbs for the past five minutes until Ashton spoke up. "Did you get my note?" He asked chewing on the inside of his cheek as he rubbed his hands together.

"Yeah I did." I told him as I brushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

He turned his body towards me and looked me in the eyes with his hazel ones. "Addie I still love you, hell I never stopped. I hated leaving and I hated all the pain I caused you I just wanted you to be safe. I was the one putting you in danger and I thought, if I went away I'd be keeping you safe but instead I hurt you and that was the last thing I ever wanted to do." Ashton admitted to me moving closer towards me as he grabbed my hands in his.

"We could've worked this out Ashton, found another way to resolve this but you never asked me you just left." I told him and he ran his fingers through his hair.

"I wasn't thinking about that at the time, all I was thinking about was your safety," Ashton sighed.

"Did you ever think about my opinion or feelings about the situation Ashton?" I asked taking my hands away from his a little mad at him now.

"Well-"

"No you didn't you just did what you thought was best, but was it really?" I asked him cutting him off.

"Yes I was trying to protect you." Ashton said raising his voice as he stood up.

"Well guess what Ashton, you lost me too." I snapped at him standing up as well. "Tell me if that was worth it?" I questioned crossing my arms and walking away.

"Why do you do that!?" Ashton asked following after me.

"Do what?" I asked turning around.

"Walk away, you do that all the time. You think walking away solves everything but it doesn't Addie!" Ashton snapped at me grabbing hold of my wrist before I could walk away again.

"Let go Ashton." I snapped trying to yank my wrist out of his grip but he didn't let go, instead he backed me up into the wall and finally did release before cupping my cheeks with both of his hands. He pressed his nose to mine as my breath hitched in the back of my throat, "Ash-" but I was cut off by his lips roughly and hungrily attached to mine. I couldn't stop myself but I kissed back missing the taste of Ashton's lips on mine.

He started to moan against my lips as my fingers found their way into his curls while I tugged at the ends of his hair. "I missed this so much." Ashton said in between the kiss and I hummed in agreement before pulling away.

"We need to work something out Ashton." I told him as I bit down on my lip.

"Yeah our lips." He smirked pressing our foreheads together. I pushed on his chest to push him away.

"Not that, this situation. I think we should be friends until further notice.." I said and Ashton looked hurt by my words.

"Friends?" He questioned taking a deep breath. "Yeah, sure.." He mumbled backing away from me.

"We just need to figure things out." I explained to him.

"We do, or you do Addie?" He asked shaking his head as he walked towards the door.

"Ashton." I said stopping him.

"I need to go Addie, see you whenever." He said before he shut the door leaving me standing there with my mouth dropped. Some how I knew it'd end like this.

I got out my phone and texted Luke that Ashton had gone and that he could come back anytime, mean while I laid on the couch in silence waiting for them to get home.
