It was now noon and Lexi and I had just woken up since we went back to sleep after watching a little bit of Cinderella. My phone rang and I saw Ashton's name pop up and I smiled answering it.

"Hey baby, did you get more sleep?" Ashton asked. I ran my fingers through my hair and gave Lexi a kiss on her forehead.

"Yeah, Lexi got sick this morning." I told him.

"Do I need to come home and help watch her?" Ashton asked panicking. I'd love for him to but I don't want him taking off work and having the other guys do more than him and making more money.

"No it's okay, she's alright." I said reassuring him that everything would be fine.

"Gosh I feel awful that she's sick, I really want to come home and help you." Ashton said and I could picture him pouting and pacing around the room.

"Ashton you have to work, you can see her when you come home, okay." I said and he signed finally giving in.

"Okay babe, I love you." He cooed into the phone making me smile widely.

"And I love you Ashton." I said back and I could just see him smiling.

"I'll see you around four." Ashton said before hanging up and I put my phone down on the table.

"Where's daddy?" Lexi asked me pouting out her lip and rubbing her eyes.

"He's at work baby, he'll be home soon." I told her brushing a strand of her hair out of her face. I heard a knock on the door and got up to answer it. Opening it carefully I closed my eyes and stepped back, then I heard chuckling.

"Are you scared of me now?" I heard a familiar, I opened my eyes and saw it was only Luke.

"No I just- never mind. What are you doing here exactly?" I asked changing the subject. He just walked in and sat down in the kitchen. "Please come in, by all means take a seat." I said sarcastically and Luke gave me a look before rolling his eyes.

"I wanted to make sure you were alright." He said and I crossed my arms.

"Really?" I questioned giving him a look and he bit his bottom lip and looked everywhere but at me. "Luke why are you really here?" I asked becoming impatient with him staling.

"Because I felt bad that I snapped at you the other day, I wanted to apologize." He said standing up and kicking at the ground. "And I wanted to see how Lexi was.." He said quietly.

"Well she's over there laying on the couch." I said pointing to where she was. Luke began walking towards the living room but stopped and turned around. He ran over to me and engulfed me into a big hug holding me closely to him.

Cupping my cheeks he sighed and looked me dead in the eyes, "I really am sorry Addie." Luke said brushing his thumb over my cheek.

"Luke." I said softly, Luke trailed down to my waist and pulled me closer to him as his lips crashed onto mine hungrily. I just stood there shocked and unable to react at this moment in time. Once I wrapped my head around everything Luke began trailing up my back and ran his fingers through my hair before I came to my senses and pushed him away.

"I love you, Addie so fucking much. I never stopped having feelings for you since that day we kissed four years ago." Luke admitted making my eyes wide in shock.

"Luke-"

"I know it's cliché to fall in love with your best friend but I just," Luke sighed cutting me off, "I caught feelings for you and I never knew how to get rid of them, ever since then I always cared about what I wore and how my hair looked. I fell hard for you." He said grabbing my hands and holding them in his.

"But Luke-"

"I wish I got the balls to ask you out long ago but I just didn't want to ruin anything between us." He said once again cutting me off. "I just wished it was me with you.." Luke mumbled sighing heavily as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Luke," I said finally able to get a word in. I sighed looking up at him, "I just- there's a lot happening right now and I can't handle it all right now.." I said and his shoulders slumped down.

"It's because you love Ashton isn't it?" He asked a little irritated now.

"A part of me will always love Ashton, Luke. He was my first love." I admitted to him and he rolled his eyes crossing his arms.

"Well you shouldn't, he fucking left you Addie, for four years!" Luke snapped causing me to jump at his sudden outburst. "I've been here the entire time and never left, and you're giving him another chance. He's lied to you, left you and put you into harms way. I'd never do that." Luke said gripping onto my shoulders.

"Everyone deserves a second chance to make things right." I told him, he stared coldly into my eyes and narrowed his eyebrows while scrunching up his nose.

"Not when that so called person has messed up more than once." Luke argued pushing me up against the front door now causing me to let out a gasp scared at what would happen next. Luke's never been one to hurt me but I didn't know where this would go.

"I'm giving him a chance to make things right and so far he's doing great." I admitted crossing my arms and Luke stood back shaking his head.

"Wow," Luke chuckled harshly and pushed me away from the door. "Have fun with Ashton. Don't come cry to me when he leaves again." Luke said shutting the door leaving my house.

I opened back up and called his name, "Luke!" I said trying to get his attention. He turned around and shook his head before he kept walking down the streets before turning the corner so I couldn't see him anymore.

I shut the door and walked back to the living room, laying down on the love seat grabbing a pillow and began to cry. Knowing I had just lost my best friend.

Hours passed and the front door opened, I didn't bother getting up but Lexi made it very clear as to who was home. "Daddy!" She yelled as I heard the pitter patter of her feet on the wooden floor running towards Ashton.

"Hello princess, feeling any better?" He asked her giving her a kiss on her cheek.

"Yeah, but I think mommy is sick." Lexi said to Ashton and he frowned now walking over towards me. Lexi felt my head and I smiled up at her before I grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it.

"Hey baby." Ashton cooed pecking me on my lips and pushing my hair out of my face. He probably noticed my eyes all bloodshot and that my cheeks all red. He set Lexi down and cupped my cheeks looking me dead in the eyes. "What happened?" He asked, I wiped under my eyes and sniffled.

"Luke came over today and we had an argument, again," I sighed sitting up now tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. "Then he poured out his feelings to me after he kissed me and-"

"Whoa." Ashton said cutting me off and giving me a confused look, "He kissed you, and you kissed back?" He asked.

"I didn't kiss back I pushed him away. Then he yelled at me and left." I sniffled wiping under my eyes again. "I've been laying here crying for about three hours.." I admitted and Ashton stood up setting Lexi in my lap.

"I'll be back." Ashton snarled grabbing his jacket and heading towards the door.

"Ashton." I called out to him. He didn't answer only left the house and I held Lexi close to me kissing the side of her head. Lexi grabbed my hand and held it tightly as we watched the door waiting for Ashton to come back.
