It was starting to get even later then when Ashton said he'd be home. The boys left leaving me alone with Lexi who was in bed already since it's ten thirty. I was worrying a lot and I felt like I'd have an attack but I kept drinking water and trying to cool off. I had one of Ashton's hoodies on along with my sport shorts I wore and fuzzy socks.

I ran my fingers through my hair and bit my bottom lip. That's when the door lock started to rattle and I sighed with relief knowing it was Ashton coming home, but the person who opened the door defiantly wasn't Ashton.

"Addie." He said covered in water drenched from his head to his feet. He slid coming into the house and I grabbed a towel which he immediately rejected.

"Niall stop it you're all wet!" I said frustrated wanting him to not get sick as I wrapped the towel around him as he began to shiver.

"No I don't care," he groaned throwing it on the floor as he sniffled. "I ran from work all the way here, Addie-"

"Niall you're going to get sick, it's pouring outside. Look at you, you're already shaking." I told him as I once again tried putting the towel around him only to have him now wrap it around me and picked me up holding me like a baby.

"No I'm not, listen to me Addie-"

"Not until you put me down and cover yourself up." I argued and Niall growled setting me down and taking the towel finally wrapping it around himself.

"Happy?" He snapped and I nodded warily stepping back from him. He pinched the bridge of his nose and exhaled deeply, "It's about Ashton." He said and I looked up at him.

"Did he tell you where he was? He said he'd be home soon and he still isn't here." I said now pacing around the room.

"Addie," Niall said swallowing hard before walking slowly towards me, "He's in the hospital.." Niall said slowly and I felt my heart drop at the mention of him being in the hospital.

"B-but that can't be, I-I just talked with him an hour or so ago, he's fine." I argued refusing to except what Niall told me was true.

He walked closer to me and I began gripping my chest feeling like I was about to have an attack, but it wasn't that, it was only my heart breaking. "No, he isn't..." Niall said sniffling walking even closer to me.

My heart couldn't take it anymore as I collapsed onto the floor, Niall ran over to me as I started to cry unable to breath as I made noises and cupped my hands over my mouth to muffle the sounds of my cry. Niall scooped me up and held me in his lap as I cried into his shoulder which was covered by the towel.

"What happened?" I asked mumbling into the towel still crying as my breath hitched in the back of my throat.

"He was driving home, I know because I was talking to him and he told me. We were just chatting and I heard a loud crash and bang and then the phone went dead. I panicked and didn't get a call back and I found out it was the officer telling me that he was being taken to the hospital for serious injuries. I told Zayn and Harry who are probably there now.." Niall explained and I took out my phone dialing Zayn's number.

It rang until I heard him pick up, he was sniffling as well, "Hello?" He croaked and that made me almost break down again, which I was already.

"Zayn," I said with a hiccup since I was crying so much I was hiccuping. "H-how is he?" I asked stuttering nervously. I wanted to know but at the same time I also didn't want to.

"We don't know, he isn't waking up but he's breathing." Zayn said and I let out a cry that sounded distressed as I covered my mouth again, "They're doing all they can. We'll keep you posted." Zayn said as he hung up on me and I began to cry even harder at the fact that Ashton wasn't waking up.

"N-Niall." I stuttered trying to talk, he only shushed me and began rubbing my back and swaying back and forth with me still in his lap.

What if Lexi finds out? She'll be heart broken or may not know what's going on, either way she'll be crushed. My eyes started to feel heavy as I began crying myself to sleep in Niall's arms.

"Daddy!" I heard Lexi scream as she woke me up and ran down the stairs thinking that Ashton would be down here. Disappointed she began to pout. "Where's daddy?" She asked me looking around the house to see if she spotted him. She only spotted Niall snoring on the couch with his lips parted slightly.

Lexi walked over to him and closed his mouth thinking that'd solve the problem of him snoring, which it didn't. I giggled at her cute attempt to make him stop only making her annoyed as she got a pillow and placed it over his head. "Lexi leave your poor uncle Niall alone." I said sighing to her.

"But he's roaring like a lion mommy." She said and I snorted laughing at her, which I shouldn't be doing but it was far too funny.

"Yes baby he is." I giggled trying to stop myself from laughing anymore.

"I can hear you." Niall yawned now waking up completely stretching as he ran his fingers through his messy hair.

"Where's daddy?" Lexi asked again remembering her original question. I looked at Niall for help and he kinda whistled and looked the other way as I glared at him.

"Baby," I paused catching her attention getting her to look up at me. "Daddy's gotten a boo boo, and will be taken care of somewhere else." I said telling her and she tilted her head to the side.

"Why can't he come here? I can kiss it better." She said pouting out her lips and Niall looked over at her now pouting his lips and giving me the puppy dog look.

"I think my heart just broke." Niall said holding his chest and I held mine too.

"It's a little complicated baby." I said running my fingers through my hair.

"Don't worry princess, he'll be back soon." Niall reassured her and looked at me before Lexi walked up to him and held up her pinky.

"Promise?" She asked holding her pinky in Niall's face. He looked over at me with wide eyes and gave Lexi a kiss on her head.

"I can't promise anything princess, but I'm sure he'll be back. He can't forget about his two favorite girls." Niall smiled picking Lexi up and setting her on his lap hugging her.

Everything is falling apart.
