I woke up to see Lexi in bed next to me, I kissed her on her forehead and brushed some hair out of her face as she opened up her beautiful green eyes and smiled at me. She gave me a kiss on my nose and I smiled at her.

"Good morning baby." I cooed as she stretched her arms and sat up in the bed.

"Why's daddy out there?" Lexi asked and I knew she meant the couch, I didn't want to tell her what really happened so I bent the truth just a little.

"Oh he came home late and watched a movie and fell asleep, it's alright baby." I said brushing her hair back before putting it up in a ponytail. She nodded and got up from the bed and went out to the room Ashton was in, taking a deep breath I threw my hair up in a messy bun and walked out there to find him wide awake with Lexi in his lap as he held the side of his head.

Ignoring him when he gave me a shy smile I grabbed a granola bar and went back into the room we shared and began looking for my swimsuit. I wanted to just go out in the nice weather and relax alone in peace. I found my maroon bikini and put it on, keeping my hair up in a bun I grabbed my black sunglasses and a towel before I threw a t-shirt on over top of it and walked back out of the room.

"Lexi baby I'll be back soon I'm just going to tan, be good okay." I told her still ignoring Ashton who seemed to tense up.

"Okay, have fun." She said waving me a goodbye as I walked out the door. I knew Ashton was a tad irritated that I wasn't talking to him, but what am I suppose to say to him? That it was okay for him to cheat and talk to him again, yeah no that's not how things work.

I got down to the pool and grabbed a lounge chair that I plopped myself onto and just laid there in the blazing sun and that's when I forgot I needed sunscreen, I'm not getting sun burn I like warm showers not freezing ice cold ones. Grabbing the sunscreen out of the bag I began to apply it to my skin but I wasn't thinking when I couldn't reach my back and needed someone's help. I turned around and tapped the the guys shoulder.

"Um excuse me, but would you be able to help me apply this sun screen on my back?" I asked nicely, he seemed friendly since he smiled as he nodded grabbing the bottle from me and putting it all over my back. "Thanks." I said as he began to rub it in on my shoulders.

"Anytime, I'm Eric." He introduced, I turned around and smiled at him.

"I'm Addie." I told him, he smiled widely at me and ran his fingers through his quiffed up black hair. He was fit with a toned body and perfect tan skin.

"So what's a beautiful girl like you doing here by yourself?" He asked trying to make small talk.

"Oh I'm not here alone," I said tucking my hair behind my ear, "I'm here with my family." I told him and he nodded.

"Trying to get away from it all?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yeah I just need time to think." I said and he nodded as if he was agreeing with me.

"What happened, if you don't mind me asking?" He asked and I loved how polite he was being and not one of those touchy kind of guys.

"I went out to the All Time Low gig last night-" I started off.

"No way, so did I!" He said cheerfully and I smiled up at him and he coughed, "Sorry for interrupting you, continue." He said apologizing before I continued the story.

"And it was my boyfriend, my daughter and I. It was my first concert and I thought it'd be a fun and night to remember, a very memorable moment that I'd want to remember forever." I said running my fingers through my hair, "During the gig my boyfriend, Ashton go a little drunk. A girl came over and danced on him and then kissed him in front of me and the thing that hurt most is that he kissed back." I said trying to hold in the tears I knew that would want to escape my eyes.

"You must've been so upset.." Eric said placing his hand on my knee and giving me a sympathetic look. "What happened after that?" He asked as I felt his thumb rub my leg and it made me think of how Luke always use to calm me down and talk to me about this kind of stuff. Something inside of me is telling me I should've brought Luke instead..

"I was with my daughter and I just left didn't even get to see the whole gig.. Then he came home late and we started to argue and I told him to sleep on the couch because I didn't want to be near him. I don't think I'll be able to trust that he'll never hurt me again.." I mumbled and Eric grabbed my hands and gave me a shy smile.

"I'm so sorry all this happened to you Addie, I hope the rest of your trip gets better though love." He said getting up to sit by me and he gave me a hug.

"Mommy!" I heard a small voice shout, I couldn't tell if it was Lexi or not so I turned around and of course there Lexi was in Ashton's arms in her bathing suit with a big smile on her face but Ashton wasn't so please. His jaw was clenched and I could tell he was mad.

"Hi baby." I smiled nervously as Ashton walked closer and Eric backed away tripping on his seat and falling on his back. "Oh my gosh Eric are you alright?" I asked making sure he was okay, he nodded and silently got up to sit down, but he shook as he sat in the chair.

"Eric was it?" Ashton asked setting Lexi down in the chair next to me, I got up so she could sit in my lap. Ashton took my spot and I was afraid I knew what would happen.

"Yeah I'm Eric, you must be Ashton." He said and Ashton chuckled lightly.

"Yeah, I must be." He answered back quiet rudely and I stood up grabbing my stuff and picking Lexi up.

"Ashton let's go." I said trying to stop what he would do to Eric. Ashton suppressed a slight growl before standing up and walking up to me. "Bye Eric, I'll see you around." I said waving him goodbye.

We walked back up to the room, so much for having my peace and quiet, now Lexi will hear us shout at one another because I know Ashton will start fuming as soon as I walk into our room. We walked into our room and Ashton shut the door behind him, I set Lexi down on the couch and kissed the top of her head as I turned the tv on and the Little Mermaid was on and she seemed occupied. I walked into our room and that's when the door slammed shut and Ashton was about to snap.

"What the fuck Addie!?" He shouted throwing his hands up in frustration, "Just because you're pissed doesn't mean you should flirt with other guys!" Ashton snapped and I threw my bags down.

"You have no right to talk about flirting, mister kissing other girls!" I snapped at him and his eyes went wide in frustration.

"I was drunk and it was a mistake, instead of watching maybe you should've done something!" He yelled back at me.

"Me? You should be able to take care of yourself and make the right decisions instead of having other people tell you the right ones, grow up Ashton!" I shouted back at him. He chuckled lowly and crossed his arms

"Why don't you grow up Addie, you can't even take care of yourself let alone Lexi because the boys help you with every fucking thing you do!" Ashton snapped and once those words left his mouth he clapped his hand to cover it and was wide eyed. "Addie-"

"How could you even say that!" I shouted feeling angry tears stream down my face. "You don't know anything because you've been gone for four years! The boys visit a lot but I buy the groceries, her clothes, I pay the bills I pay for the house I've done this all on my own while you lived with your mom not sure what the hell to do with yourself." I snapped right back at him and he gave me a look of hurt but I didn't care.

"You know what, I'm leaving!" Ashton shouted throwing his clothes into the suitcase and packing up everything he brought and that's when I realized he was leaving and getting a flight back home.

"Ashton you can't leave, what about Lexi?" I asked as he stood at the door, "What about me?" I said and he paused for a moment before opening the door and leaving.

Lexi ran up and jumped onto his suitcase that he was rolling and I picked her up and held her while she began to cry unaware of what was happening.

Before he left the room he turned around looking me in the eyes and said, "You don't need me, you can do it on your own." Before he left me and Lexi standing there in a puddle of our own tears.
