Lydia walked slowly as a regular Walker herd would do and stayed next to her mom answering every question she asked in a whisper,

"They made you remove your skin?" Alpha asked her, barely taking a glance.

"They took it off me, hid it" She answered, biting the inside of her bottom lip while rubbing the bottoms of her long sleeves,

"The one who made the trade?" (Y,n). Lydia couldn't understand why that woman would try so hard to keep her safe when just yesterday she willing to slit her throat without a single thought but Lydia didn't say a word as she caught her mothers eyes.

"She was ready to fight to keep you... Why?" The young shook her head a little and shrugged,

"I acted like I needed her help" Alpha paused her steps for a quick second.

"Did she touch you?"

"No" Lydia responded quickly shocked by the fact that her mother would even care about that, from the short time she knew (Y,n) she knew that she'd never lay a hand on her. At least in a sexual way.

"Did you tell them about us?"

"That there are only a few of us, that I hated living like this" Alpha shot her a look, "I lied to get them to trust me. Except for one thing, I said that they shouldn't cross you" Alpha stopped walking and stood in front of her daughter,

"What did you find out?"

"They have mostly farmland. Some supplies. Their weapons are basic, a few guns but not enough" Lydia wasn't sure if her mom beloved her not but she sure as hell hope so,

"Any sign of trade?" Lydia looked away from Alpha but staring at the ground dismissively.

"No. I don't think so, no" she answered,

"What else?" There was a lot she learned from Henry and from (Y,n) but Lydia wasn't about to tell her.

"That's it"

"That's it!?" Alpha spoke louder and harsher making her daughter jump in her frozen spot, "I broke my own rules comin' to get you. What do I get in return? Excuses. Wasted words" the woman was just a few inches away from Lydia's face intimidating her fully,

"Sorry, Alpha" Lydia mumbled while her mother watched her facial expressions as they went from scared to confused, "Is that the only reason you came to get me? To get information?" there was a silence between them before Alpha jumped in her face and said,

"What a stupid question" and continued down their path they stopped walking leaving her Lydia to walk sadly behind her, thinking over the fact that her own mother deflected her question about leaving her to people who had the chance to kill her at any time.

(Y,n)

After the council meeting, she wanted nothing but to go home and sleep in the same bed with her family to feel some sort of comfort. Michonne still wasn't willing to trade and open up for the fair when The Kingdom needed help and her excuse was that the roads are too dangerous and the Whispers are still out there. (Y,n) would've taken a chance to go out there and help her fellow communities but she knew that Michonne wouldn't hesitate to punish her for putting men at risk.

"Honey? Where's my super suit?" (Y,n) called out as she threw her bag on the floor and kicked her off her shoes with a heavy sigh that was soon replaced with a huge smile once she saw her husband,

"I think I put it away, we should go upstairs and have a look," Carl told her with a smug smile as he pulled her into a tight hug then kissed her deeply.
