A forgotten lifetime

The Maze

I wake up extra early to meet Minho and Thomas, yawning, I meed them at the map room "hey" I say, opening the door "hey, today, you will be going with Thomas to explore the maze" I nod "here" he hands me a machete and a backpack "thanks?" He nods "now, off you go" I nod, oh well, it's not like I was hungry. We meet Alby at the doors "have fun" he says as we take off. It's hard keeping up with Thomas, but I shrug it off and keep running, after all, that was one of the rules... "Tired yet?" Thomas asks "nope" I lie, he nods and keeps running, after what seems like forever, we reach a part of the maze that looks quite funny "where are we?" I ask, Thomas looks very confused "it looks different..." I scan the place and see something bloody, walking over to it I almost gag, what I see is what was left of Bens cloths "h-hey Thomas?" He walks over to you "ya? Ohhhh..." He sees the cloths "must've been a greiver..." He shrugs and keeps looking around "so, are we lost?" He shakes his head "I can't remember it looking like this" he says "well, what did it look like before?" He smacked his hand to his head "not like this!" He groaned, you hear something, almost like something shifting, Thomas hears it too "what's that?" I ask, he just shakes his head, it sounds close, looking closely around, you finally see something moving in the distance "there" you point "oh shuck Run!" He yells, taking off to the left, you follow, whatever it is must not be good, running after him, he takes random turns, right left left left right, and keeps going "what was that back there?" You finally ask "it's the maze changing, if we stayed there maybe ten seconds longer, we would be dead right now" you nod "can we stop?" He answers your question my slowing down "why are you so scared?" I ask "because, that oy happens at night, do you know what that means?" I shake my head "that means there's greivers out there too" I start to panic "b-but you don't know that! What I'd the maze just does that because it wants too?" He shakes his head "the maze just doesn't do what it wants, it has a pattern, and it has stuck to its pattern for three years, and with things starting to do things that are kmu supposed to happen at night, then the other things that happen at night, are going to start happening" I start pacing, worried "we should get back by now" he started to go the way back when you gasp, there, above you, was a big huge greiver,snarling at you
