I'm definitely awake now that I know Xavier is here. My eyes dart from Logan to him, and when Xavier pushes his way past Amelia to stand in front of us I can see his fists clenched at his sides, his knuckles practically white.
"Xavier, what are you doing here?" I ask. "It's so late."
"I came because-" He stops and then eyes Logan, letting out a sarcastic laugh. "Honestly, I don't even know why. Forget it."
"Dude, just answer her fucking question." Logan gets up from the bed now to stand in front of him. I don't want anything to happen to either of them. As much as Xavier has pissed me off, both of them are so important to me. I don't want them to get hurt. "You keep playing these mind games with her. Do you want her or not? She fucked someone else while you were together, we all know this, but how long are you going to hold that over her for? If you don't want her then leave her the hell alone."
"And why's that?" He laughs again, and I see Logan begin to lose his patience. "If I leave her alone you think she'll finally want you?"
"Xavier." I mutter lowly, getting off of my bed. I stand in front of him and look into his eyes, seeing the anger and pain radiating off of them. "You need to go."
"So it's really over then?" He stares intently at me, and it's silent for a couple of moments between us. I don't know what I want, but what I do know is that staring into his eyes gives me a feeling that I couldn't describe to anyone. The feeling of being close to him makes me feel like I'm home, and I've never even had a true home before, so that's saying something.
"I can't keep doing this with you." I bite on my lip to stop myself from crying but it still trembles. "I've tried so hard to get back into your life and you've wanted nothing to do with me. You're rude, you're angry, and you're always acting like I mean nothing to you. Like I didn't exist at all. I can't be around you anymore if you-"
"But isn't that what you did to me?" He tilts his head to the side and arches his eyebrows up. "You left me like I was nothing, right? I went to rehab and didn't hear a damn thing from you, so why the fuck should I make you important when you left me like I didn't mean a thing to you?"
"What?" I look at him in disbelief. "You think I didn't contact you because you didn't mean something to me? Do you realize how fucking ridiculous you sound?"
"Enlighten me then, Elena! Because ever since I've gotten back I've avoided you as much as I fucking could in order to not get hurt. You think I wanted to do that? You think it's easy seeing you with this fucking guy? It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do!"
Amelia lets out a groan and grabs her knapsack off of her dresser. "I'm going to sleep at Dion's." She mumbles. "I'm tired as hell."
I want to apologize to her, but before I can, Logan gets into his face again. "You're mad that we've been hanging out, but you were avoiding her, right? How does that even make sense? She's not allowed to hang out with other people?"
"Not people who want to get into her fucking pants." He shoots back. "Sorry, maybe I should have clarified."
Putting his hands up into the air, Logan shakes his head in disbelief and reaches over for his phone off of my bed. "Whatever, man. I'll see you tomorrow, Elena."
"Doubtful." Xavier scoffs.
Before I even realize what's happening, Logan lunges for Xavier and tackles him to the ground. I let out a shriek of horror, immediately grasping Xavier by the t-shirt as Amelia throws her knapsack to the ground and reaches for Logan.
