"Opinion is ultimately determined by the feelings, and not by the intellect."
- SPENCER, Herbert

The night before the Orlando and Seattle game, Logan joined her brother and his foster parents for dinner. It was a welcomed change of pace for the blonde pro, to finally feel at home, even for a night, before her regular life resumed the next day.

It had been a whirlwind week-and-a-half since that game. A game she would never forget. Even if they didn't win, Logan came away feeling like a champion. How funny that a small piece of material could make someone feel a certain way. It was the proudest ten minutes of her life.

She was also incredibly proud of her brother. Kevin wasn't the same little kid that she left behind four years ago. Granted, she knew she was leaving him in capable hands with Clarissa and Alan, but to see how her brother is growing into a respectable young man made her heart swell with happiness.

The entire town was giving her flashbacks, most bad but there were definitely some good memories. She met a lot of amazing people who have and continue to influence her life. As a small thank-you Logan gifted Clarissa and Alan some tickets for the game the next day. Unfortunely Alan would be working, but Kevin assured his sister that some of his friends would be more than happy to use the spare tickets.

Logan specifically remembered her brother muttering something about a crazy friend named Jessica.

That night when Logan made it back to the team hotel, she was rooming with her favorite rookie, who was already asleep when Logan's phone pinged.

The next morning was tense

The next morning was tense. The team could feel how nervous Logan was, which was both surprising and yet completely expected.

Anyone would be nervous about playing against a team that they left on bad terms, but nerves to this level wasn't something they had witnessed from Logan and it hit home how concerned the blonde was.

Warming up wasn't so bad, the crowd wasn't really paying much attention to the players on the field but Logan still hadn't relaxed since waking up.

"Hey Logan," Pinoe jogs over, crossing the invisible barrier between both sets of players. "It's so good to see you on this field again."

Logan embraces Pinoe in a short hug, "Yeah. Never thought I would be back if I'm being honest. Especially with another team."

Both woman glanced at the Orlando Pride emblem on Logan's training shirt.

"It is kinda weird," Pinoe smiled, giving small nods to Logan's teammates who continue to glance over at the duo, simply looking out for their friend. "I'm getting the stink eye."

Logan notices the few looks, and playful glares from Ali and a few of the other American's on the Pride team, "They're harmless, you know that."

"Yeah," Pinoe sighs, "Look, be careful out there, okay?"
