Today marks another year dedicated to the awesome, hardworking mothers out there. Sacrificing their lives everyday for the fulfillment of their children. Not only do we acknowledge the mothers who are alive and well, but we also acknowledge the ones who are no longer here. Without them, there would be no you. Moms are the best. I encourage for them to be celebrated everyday, because there's nobody like momma.

I don't know how many times I've opened my front door today due to the flowers that were sent for this special occasion, but I want to say a strong five. Turquoise roses in the shape of a teddy bear, gray roses in the shape of a square and Violet flowers that spell out MOM, surrounded by Baby's Breath. Not only that, but chocolates, balloons and other gifts of the sort. I can't help but to feel so loved on this very important day.

Violet made me a handmade card from construction paper and crayola crayons. Although it looked like complete chicken scratch, it was refrigerator worthy.

"Thank you so much baby." I say, kissing her forehead.

She smiled up at me, showing me her mouth full of teeth. Yesterday as she was sleeping, I wrote a new song. A song dedicated to her and her only. She's my baby and forever will be. I named it I Will Go To War because no matter what, I will go to war for my baby girl.

I plan to shoot the video for this song sometime next week. Featuring Violet of course. I want the video to basically be a collage of videos of us. From birth to now. I probably won't release the song to the public until her birthday because I want it to be something special. Don't mind me, just causally planning my daughters second birthday two months before it's actually her birthday. I'm just so excited and nervous...altogether.
