Kyle 🏀

I don't know who told Zo to get my daughter a tea set, but that's exactly what she has me setting up in her room right now. It took a little convincing to let me do it this week because I was still recovering from the party last week, and that's why we're in this position today. It was either that or face the wrath that comes from Violet Skye, and trust me, you don't want to cross paths with that.

I tighten the last two bolts on the table and flip it around. She sets up her little cups and plates, then grabs her stuffed animals and sits them in the chairs around the table. I chuckle at her pouring fake tea into their cups and feeding it to them.

The imagination on this little girl is extraordinary. I wish I had half the imagination she has when I was younger.

I stand there and watch her for another 20 minutes, before she's asking me to make her a PB&J sandwich. I nod and she runs for the door, telling me to "om on dada". In regular English, it's "come on dada". She switches between daddy and dada so effortlessly, it blows my mind. But I know that it's just based on whatever mood she's in. For instance, today she's in a good one.

Shortly after I finish making her sandwich and cutting them into small squares, she's sitting on the couch watching The Lion King. I smile as she attempts to sing The Circle of Life, while I sit at the counter and scroll through all of my social media.

Ari was currently at the studio, despite my appeals to her going. I love her a lot, but sometimes I don't like her. And I'm sure she feels the same way. We kinda got into it this morning before she left, so I'm sure she's going to be giving me the cold shoulder for the rest of the day.

She don't think I noticed, but she had Jeremih's Love Don't Change blasting on her Beats before she left for the studio. And even though she aggravates the hell out of me, and me the same to her, our love really doesn't change.

"Let me smell." I say. Violet leans in close, blowing her minty breath in my face. "Good girl."

I take her off the counter and head back down the hall. She follows me to me and Ari's bedroom, singing. I open the door and she runs inside, over towards Ari's side of the bed.

"Mama!!!" She exclaims.

"Hey love bug." Ari smiles, hoisting her onto her lap.

Violet straddles her lap and places her hands on her shoulders.

"How was my baby girl today? You were good for daddy?" Ari asked.

"Mhm." Violet responded, moving Ari's hair behind her ear. "Dada fix tea."

"He did?" Ari grinned when Violet nodded. "Wow."

I stood at the door as the two talked for a little more, like they were sharing secrets. I squint my eyes when Violet looks at me, giggling at whatever Ari is saying. It's obviously about me.

When they're done, she helps Violet down. Violet runs back to the door and squeezes past me to get to her room.

"I'll be in there soon." I call after her.

She doesn't reply back, but I know she heard me. I look back at Ari, who picks up the book she was reading before Violet ran in.

"You're just gonna keep ignoring me huh?" I ask.

She peeks over at me and shrugs. I shake my head and walk over to Violet's room. She was in her bed waiting for me. Molly and Snoh were in here with her, but Milo was in me and Ari's room. Probably playing security.

I get Violet situated, before making my way back over to our shared bedroom.

"Milo, out." I say.

She barks at me.

"Don't raise your voice at me. Out. Now." I exclaim.

She hops up and makes her way out of the room. I close the door behind her as she goes to sit in her bed that's in the hallway. I crawl into the bed beside Ari, taking the book from her.

"Excuse you." She said.

I place the book on my nightstand, turning to face her again. I grab her legs and pull her down so she's lying on her back. Before she can protest my actions, I trap her in my arms.

"Listen." I say. "This back and forth shit has to stop."

"I suggest you take your own advice and stop trying to pick a fight with me all the time." She replied, pinching my bicep.

"If you'd just listen, it wouldn't have to be that way." I shrug.

"So you're admitting to picking fights with me on purpose?" She asked.

"Are you admitting to giving me a reason to pick a fight?" I retort.

She narrows her eyes at me. "I'm working."

"Well maybe you need to not work right now and just focus on the baby." I suggest.

"Maybe you shouldn't tell me what to do." She gave me a mock smile.

"Ari." I say.

"I know how to take care of myself Kyle. I've been through this process already." She rolled her eyes.

"But you yourself confirmed that this pregnancy is going to be much more different than the last." I try to convince her. "I understand making music is important to you and it's your job. But what I'm saying is take a break. The baby needs you right now, especially since you're going into your second trimester."

She gives me a face as I frown, then she sighs. I give a hopeful smile.

"You're lucky I love you." She said.

I could see it in her face that she wanted to curse me out, but she ultimately decided against it because Violet literally just went to bed. There's no getting her back to sleep once she's awake.

I kiss her lips, listening to her groan.

"Give me my book back, I'm not done being mad at you." She pushed my face away.

"You have no reason to be mad at me." I chuckle.

"I'll find a reason." She folded her arms. "Give it here."

I shake my head and playfully roll my eyes. I reach onto my nightstand and hand her the book back. She smiles in content and goes back to reading. I keep my arms around her as I watch her read. She's so beautiful when she's focused, it drives me nuts. Like...how can you literally be that flawless?

I lift up the bottom of her tank top, kissing on her stomach. She giggles, trying to push me away.

"Kyle, what are you doing?" She laughs.

"I wanna make love to my fiancé, but she'd rather read instead." I shrug, continuing to leave kisses on her belly.

She closes her book and puts it on the nightstand, then turns to grab my face. I smile as she pulls me in to kiss her.

"You're lucky I'm even in the mood to want to have sex tonight." She said.

"So you was horny this whole time, but wanted to play like you weren't?" I raise my brow.

She chews on her lower lip, nodding as she wrapped her leg around my waist.

"What's your excuse for that?" I ask.

"Wanting to be mad at you so I can have your attention." She grinned.

I smirk. "Well you have my undivided attention."

She kisses me again, holding me close to her. I tug at the hem of her pajama shorts.

"Take these off." I say.

She giggles at my request, doing so anyway.

She gone geeet iiit.
