Ariana 💕

I stand in the body length mirror, dancing to Drunk in Love and singing into my hair brush. Violet was in front of me, dancing as well. She was a little off beat, but her heart is in the right place.

After our little moment, I sit her down on the bed so that I can tie her shoes properly. We were going to have a mommy-daughter day. Ice cream, spa, the whole thing. We had matching outfits and everything.

Just me and my baby girl today.

We were in my Range jamming out to The Greatest Showman soundtrack. That's another one of her movies.

"Sing it baby." I turn it up a little.

I smile as she sings the lyrics as best she can. Singing at the top of her lungs like there's nobody around. I swear this little girl gives me life.

Soon we reach our destination and the day officially begins. After the cold I endured last week, I felt like I owed it to Violet to make up for the missed time. I couldn't really do much with her or the twins because I didn't want to get any of them sick. Their health is my number one priority, and if it means putting mine at risk so be it.

We spent the entire day laughing and taking pictures/videos. I feel like when these kinds of things are documented, she'll have something to remember forever. Same thing for the twins, although it won't be as much as Violet's. She's just my baby girl and she's growing so fast, I want to savor as much as I can.

I sit across from her in the booth as she eats her frozen yogurt. Hers was Cheesecake flavor with Cheesecake bites and Brownie bits. Mine was Cake Batter flavor with Cheesecake bites.

"You might start preschool in August, are you excited?" I ask her.

She shakes her head.

"Why not?" I ask.

"I be wif you." She frowns.

I frown as well. "I know you do baby. But you have to get out of your comfort zone eventually."

"No mama." She exclaims.

"You don't wanna be around other people your age?" I ask.

She shakes her head firmly.

"Would you go if daddy convinced you?"

She folds her arms and shakes her head again.

"Vi." I exclaim.

"I won go, I fuse." She states.

Well, it's a good thing I didn't enroll her yet. It's a pretty lengthy process, and she might have been put on the waiting list. I wouldn't want to risk that right now.

I place my thumb and forefinger to my forehead, caressing the skin.

Oh boy.

I was curled up on the couch with my laptop when Kyle walked into the house.

"Hey." He says.

"Hey." I reply, typing some lyrics.

He places a kiss to the top of my head then wraps his arms around my shoulders, continuing to kiss my face and neck.

"What's up?" I ask.

All this love and affection, something's up.

"I missed you." He muffled into my shoulder.

I grin, accepting his embrace. "I missed you too."
