*Jack's POV

"Soul wait. Can we please talk about what happened? I'm begging you." I stopped Soul.

"No. I have to go." She answered in a totally cold way.

"Please. We need to talk this through, Soul." I begged.

"I don't need to do anything I don't want to do, do you understand me?" she hissed at me, opening her car door and getting in.

We had to talk about it. I saw no other option than to get into her car until she talks to me.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? You can't just get into my car, are you crazy?" she started screaming at me.

"But I did. I'm not going to leave until we have talked this through."

"I'm going to call the cops if you don't leave now." she threatened me.

"I know you won't." I smirked.

"URGHHH. WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS? WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE? YOU COMPLICATE MY LIFE! YOU ALMOST RUINED MY RELATIONSHIP WITH DANIEL? DO YOU EVEN SEE WHAT YOU'RE DOING? YOU RUIN THINGS." she stopped to think for a second. "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean the last part."

"Don't apologize. You're right. I ruin things. I ruined a potential future for Lavender in which she could've grown up to both parents loving each other." I admitted.

"What?" she looked confused.

"We broke up. Gabbie and I decided it's best for us to go our separate ways when it comes to love. She's still going to be a big part of my life because of Lav, but only as a friend."

"Okay, but you didn't ruin your relationship, you both are responsible for it."

"So are you down to talk now?" I asked one last time, hoping she changed her mind.

She thought about it for a second.

"Let's go for a walk then." she decided.

We've been walking around for quite some time now. I told her everything about Gabriela and my breakup and she was just listening. I liked that about Soul. She listens until she has enough information from what you're telling her to give you a proper advice.
I still wanted to talk about what happened at the beach. I figured it was the only option in order for us to get along somehow.

"So about what happened at the beach.." I started.

"Honestly, we don't have to talk about it. Let's just forget it ever happened. We're friends okay?"

"You really think we can just be friends?" I stopped walking.

She stayed silent. I could see how uncomfortable she was.

"I like you Soul and I'm not going to act like I don't, not anymore. But I understand that you want to be with Daniel and I won't get in the way of it. He's a good guy and you deserve everything he has to offer you."

"He told me he loved me yesterday." she said out of nowhere.

"He did?" I didn't expect that.

"He thought I was asleep, but I wasn't. He was drunk but even if Daniel is drunk, he knows what he's doing." she explained.

"So you didn't say it back?" I got curious.

"No."

"Do you love him?"

"Of course, but I'm not quite sure if it's in the exact same way he does already." she admitted. "It's just confusing I guess. I don't think I was ever in love with someone. I mean there was a guy before, but he treated me like shit and said what I wanted to hear and I guess I felt lonely at that time and thought he was what I needed, but now I know it wasn't love." she stopped to think. "Maybe, you're also a reason for why I don't know. Everything that happened just confused the shit out of me, but I know I want to be with him."

"You know, you telling me that you want to be with him, is the answer. You don't have to say it now, but it will come with time and then you're going to know. You just know when you love someone. Love takes time."

"I guess, you're right." a smile forming on her face.

"Hey, there's an ice cream stand!! You want some ice cream?" I pointed to the the man giving a girl some ice cream.

"I'm down."

*Souline's POV

Jack bought me some strawberry ice cream and some cookie dough ice cream for himself. We walked around the beach, just talking about life. I think, we can really try to just be friends. It could really work out. Suddenly my phone rang and it was Daniel. He wanted to facetime me, like he always does. My heart started racing like crazy. I declined the facetime call and just picked up normal. I didn't want Daniel to see Jack.

"Hold up, I gotta take this call." I told Jack, moving away from him.

"Hey, what's up?" I answered the call.

"Why won't you show me your beautiful face." he whined.

"Well, I'm in public and I don't have my headphones with me. I don't want everyone to hear our conversation." I lied.

"Oh okay, but where are you though?" he asked.

"Well, I went for a walk after the gym and now I'm standing at an ice cream stand to get myself some ice cream."

I mean I wasn't quite lying, expect for the fact that I already had my ice cream.

"Is someone with you? Or are you alone?" he sounded suspicious or it was just my lying ass imagination.

I had two option, either lie or tell him the truth. Both options weren't really convenient for the both of us. I decided to lie. Sometimes, the better option is to lie when you know the truth could hurt someone. I mean how would Daniel found out about this right? He wouldn't.

"I'm alone." I hated myself for lying, but I couldn't get myself to tell him the truth.

"Okay, text me when you're home. Enjoy your ice cream mi lady."

"Will do. Bye." I hang up.

"Why did you lie?"

Fuck. He heard everything.

"I just didn't want to make things complicated again. I hope you don't tell him. Please. I really want this to work out." I tried to convince him.

"Don't worry, I won't tell."

"Thank you Jack."

The atmosphere got a bit awkward after my phone call with Daniel, therefore I was really happy when fans came up to take pictures with jack. Thank god no one wanted to take a picture with me or both of us like the last time we've been on the jog together. I was a bit scared they could post the photos on social media and start some rumors that could potentially end up to be seen by Daniel. He's always on twitter and Instagram, looking through photos and tweets he's been mentioned in. Daniel and the boys see everything, even if their fans think they don't.
