"Syd? You home?" I yelled as I walked through the door.
"In the living room." she responded.
"Look. You told me to give her time and I did. It's been a week. How much more time does she need? I'm going crazy without her. I gotta do something and you as my sister and one of her closest friends are going to help me."
"Well, what do you have in mind?" she asked.
"I was thinking about a beach picnic. You know, the ones that you can book? She's been seeing those everywhere on Instagram and YouTube,and would always show me. She never said it, but I know how much she wanted one of those beach picnics, and the beach is clearly her favorite place. She obviously won't answer any of my calls or text messages, so I'll need you're help here." I explained.
"It's a great idea. She's going to love it." she smiled.
"So, you're going to help me?"
"Of course. I miss having her around the house all day long." she laughed.
*4 days later
Today was the day. I was finally about to see her again. It's been almost two weeks without seeing her face once, and I missed her.
My boy came around this morning and gave me a haircut, which I really needed. I put on a stripped shirt, with a Louis V belt and black pants. I didn't want to go all out because we're going to the beach, but it looked pretty classy, while still being simple.

Our picnic was scheduled around 4pm. This way we're able to see the sun set as well. I know how much she loves sunsets. Right now it was 2pm. Syd was probably already at Souls place. The only thing I had to do now, was to pray that everything goes well.
*Souline's POV
"Long time no see, pretty girl." I grinned like the happiest person, opening the door to see Syd's face.
"Give mama a hug." she smirked.
"I've been so excited for today, I'm not gonna lie.. I'm sorry I've been so M.I.A lately. Work has been a pain in the ass the last two weeks." I lied.
"It's fine babe. That's exactly why I'm taking you on a fancy beach date in 2 hours. Are you down?"
"You know me. I will never in my entire life say no to the beach, especially when I'm going with one of my favorite human beings ever." I embraced her into the biggest bear hug.
"Great, get ready then mi lady. I'll wait for you with my two little kittens." she plopped onto my sofa.
*1 hour later
As I was finishing up the last steps of my make up, I looked into the mirror and realized how much I've missed getting ready the past two weeks. As a woman, you need to dress up, get your hair done, and do your make up to feel good. But not necessary for anybody else, only for yourself.
I really felt like putting on a skirt today, but then I remembered we're going to the beach. Skirts are cute until you have to sit down, and I don't want to be uncomfortable today. Therefore, I put on some shorts instead, and finished up this look with a bright red top, which is my favorite color by the way. Today I was kinda feeling my natural hair, and decided to let my hair down. If we're going to the beach, my waves got to be out.

„K, I'm ready to go Syd."
„Girl you look cute! I'm so excited for today. Let's go." she grabbed my hand.
The drive to the beach consisted of a carpool karaoke between Syd and I. Unfortunately, we didn't get as blessed when it comes to our singing voices, but that's what makes it funny. After we parked the car, we took our stuff and walked all the way to the beach. I loved it here. It's so beautiful and peaceful. As soon as we reached the sand, I removed my shoes to feel the warm sand underneath my feet.
„Oh my god, look at the guy over there." I pointed to the beach picnic. „The girl he's about to surprise is gonna be so happy about it! This is the cutest thing ever! For real!"
„I know right?" she said with a weird look on her face.
We walked into the direction of the guy, and as we got closer I felt like my heart just dropped when he turned around to look at us.
I stopped immediately.
„Please don't hat me for being part of this, but just hear him out." her eyes begging me to stay.
„I'm not gonna hate you, Syd.. I just don't know.." I tried to explain.
„Just hear me out and let me fix this." I suddenly heard his voice.
„I guess I'll just leave now." she hugged me. „Give him a chance." she whispered into my ear.
Standing here with no one but jack made me feel uncomfortable but comfortable at the same time. I missed his presence.
„So you didn't run away yet." he joked, which made me smile a little. „Does that mean you'll stay?"
„I guess I am."
„Thank you." he smiled.
