Note: This takes place during the training week back in season 2 of the show. It's the part where Tsuki, Kuroo, and Bokuto become the BESTEST OF FRIENDS. Anyways, enjoy!

Day 3 of training camp. We're halfway done. I can do this.

It's normal for everyone to slowly give up, but with shorty and the great king around, I hardly doubt that the rest of these crackheads will give up. Don't they know that volleyball is just a sport?

Tsukishima was thinking to himself as he made his way down to the cafeteria. He didn't bother to wake up Tadashi because he knew how cranky he would be if he did wake him. So the tall, lanky blond walked by himself, asking himself why he wanted to do volleyball in the first place.

Once he got there, there were a couple of other people from the other teams eating across the spacious room, but none of his teammates were there. Tsuki sighed before grabbing a tray and taking a seat by an empty table and relaxed before the rest of his team showed up to bug the crap out of him. Seriously, do they even know what annoying means?

As Tsukishima lost himself in the peace and quiet of the cafeteria, a certain raven-hair boy walked into the room.

Kuroo and Tsukishima met last night when he asked the annoyed blond to help him practice with setting a few blocks against the 4th greatest wing spiker of all of Japan. But after he pointed out that Tsukishima didn't block well was because of his lack of interest in the sport, he kinda felt bad. Kuroo didn't mean for it to come out rude.

So, when Kuroo grabbed his tray of food and looked around the room, he spotted a certain blond and started to walk towards his table.

"Mind if I sit here?"

"Why? Wouldn't you want to sit with your team to make up some crappy plan to take us down today?"

"Ouch... Nah. I just figured that I would want to know more about Karasuno's number 11 so I can form a plan to take you down."

Tsuki sighed, "Sure. Be my guest."

Kuroo smiled at Tsuki before grabbing the chair across from him and started to each his breakfast with him. The two created some small talk, which was mainly Tsuki trying to roast the hell out of Kuroo and his so-called, "hairstyle", but it was something, to say the least.

"Hey, about last night..." Kuroo looked at the salty blond.

"What?"

"I'm sorry about offending you. I didn't mean for my comment to come out all narcissistic or whatever."

Tsukishima was taken back from the apology. The last time he heard one of those was when his brother lied about being on the play-offs roster back in middle school.

"It's fine, I wasn't really offended by it or anything."

Truth is, it did annoy Tsukishima about how devoted the guys were playing and how good they were at it. He knew that he couldn't beat Hinata as a middle blocker and most of the other players were in some way better than him.

But as the two were talking about something else, a certain short stack and buzz-cut duo entered the room, yelling about how they were going to 'crush' all their games today.

"Well, it looks like I should get going," Kuroo stated before getting up and throwing away his empty tray.

"Yeah, have fun rooster-head."

Kuroo turned around, "Rooster-head? I can't tell if that's a compliment or not."

Tsuki smirked," It's not."

"Nice receive!"

Tsukishima wasn't excited about playing against Nekoma, but it was better to play against them rather than playing with Fukurodani and their crazy owl for an ace.

The ball was in the air and was heading towards Kageyama. Tanaka started to run-up to the net at full force as Kageyama put up a set for him.

Tsuki was watching carefully over the other team to make sure that they didn't try anything funny. But as soon as Tanaka's fingers brushed against the ball, the ball ricochet to the floor beside him.

"Nice kill!" screamed Yamamoto.

The score changed on the sidelines- 25-20

Kuroo gave off his classic cat grin before walking over to the sweaty boy.

"Word of advice, instead of focusing on us, try and focus on the ball a little bit."

Tsuki could tell that the snarky cat had grown accustomed to Tsuki's insults and tried to throw one at him. He only 'Tch' in response and started to head to the gym's doors, dreading the up-hill run outside.

Kuroo didn't know why, but he was hoping that the blond would say something mean towards him. He mentally wrote a note down to ask him if he wanted to practice later with him.

Kenma walked up to his best friend and tried to hand him a water bottle, but the third year was too focussed on Karasuno's middle blocker.

"Hey."

Kuroo looked down," Oh, thanks."

"I noticed that you were staring at Karasuno's number 11, are you two friends or something?"

"No, I don't think so. But I think he could be a really cool guy if I knew him better."

"Uh-huh", Kenma didn't really think much about Kuroo and who he was friends with, he was just happy that he could play with Hinata again.

Meanwhile, a very tired and irritated first-year was trying to climb up a very steep hill.

"Come on Tsukishima! You can do it!" yelled Nishinoya from the top of the hill.

Tsuki looked around him and noticed that he was the only one left on the hillside. He sighed before trudging his way up to the top.

Seriously, why does everyone care so much? It's just a sport.

As the group descended from the hilltop, Kuroo was waiting for Tsukishima at the bottom of the hill. The dinosaur-loving boy noticed him and walked towards him.

"You got something to say?"

"I was hoping that you would wanna practice with me and the other guys later."

"Uh, sorry, but I already made plans to go to bed and stuff. You know how it is." Tsukishima made sure that his statement was dripping with sarcasm.

But Kuroo took no offense from his tone, "That's fine, but my offer still stands."

"Tch, whatever."

As Kuroo walked off, he somehow knew that the tall, lanky, sarcastic, blond would be there to practice with him later, he just knew he would.
