It was a few weeks after the boys decided to go out and be a 'couple' but it was hard with the distance between them. After all, one was living in Tokyo and the other one was living in Myagi. But little did Tsuki know, Kuroo had planned a little surprise for him.
It was almost time for mid-terms, a thing that stressed out most of the students of Karasuno High, but it was mostly stressful for four students on the volleyball team.
Daichi had stated that if any of the members had failing grades, they couldn't come to practice until they finished with the make-up work. Of course, Tanaka and Nishinoya had accepted their fate and understood that they might not get to practice for a few weeks. Kageyama had a small panic attack and was slowly rocking himself in the corner of the gym and as for Hinata... let's just say he wasn't doing so good.
Tsukishima wasn't fazed at all since he mainly passed his tests with flying colors. But when the other two first years asked him to help them, he realized that he wasn't going to do well either. At least he got a nice view of the King bowing before him.
Kuroo on the other hand, was figuring out a way to purchase a couple of train tickets to surprise Tsuki.
"How long are you staying?" Kenma asked.
"Maybe just for a couple of days."
"Do you even know if he'll let you stay?"
"I mean... I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't mind if I crashed at his place for a bit."
"You do realize that midterms are around the corner."
"Yeah, but I think that I'll do fine. Besides, I always score better than Bokuto and he studies his ass off like there's no tomorrow."
"That's true."
The two students walked their way home, continuing to talk about what they were going to do for the next few weeks.
Kenma was a little skeptical when Kuroo told him that he was going out with the Karasuno blonde, but after seeing how his friend's face would light up at the mere mention of his name, he assumed that everything was going to be okay.
And just like that, Kuroo found himself on a train bound for the Myagi district. His parents were rarely home and he did leave a note stating that he was going to a friends place to stay for a bit. But taking 3 different trains in one day was pretty tiring, especially since he almost missed one.
But as the rooster-head looked out the window, he started to notice the more urban and rundown feel that Tsuki's town gave off. It wasn't bad that it was old or anything, but it was nice to see something other than towering buildings or big supermarkets.
Ding.
Kuroo pulled his phone out of his pocket and smiled.

Of course he would leave me on read, Kuroo sarcastically told himself.
But nonetheless, he turned off his phone and looked outside of the window, admiring the simpleness of Myagi.
