After the cookout, the teams went back to practicing before doing some more games. Of course, Karasuno lost most of them, leaving a certain blond in a very sweaty and irritated state.
Kuroo's team was suffering a lot as well. Kuroo wasn't able to block some of the easiest balls that the other teams threw at him. It was starting to worry Kenma because if this kept going, Kenma was going to be sweatier than he preferred to be.
With that in mind, the bleach-blond looked over at his coach and without an exchange of words, both teams were having a time out. Kuroo got pulled over by Kenma which was never a good sign.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm playing?"
"No, you are not. You got something on your mind and I honestly don't care what it is. But I will make you buy me a new video game if this continues. So whatever is on your mind, think about it later, not now."
Kuroo was taken aback by his friend's statement, before realizing that he needed to stop trying to multitask and just focus on playing volleyball.
FWEET! A whistle was blown and just like that, the two teams were back in session. With Kenma's pep-talk, more like threat, Nekoma was able to win with their captain off of cloud nine.
Meanwhile, Tsukishima was starting to regret standing right next to Tanaka. He wasn't playing right now, but Tanaka, whew, you could tell that he didn't put any deoderant on. All the other players didn't really noticed though, which made Tsuki think that the other players had gotten used to his funk.
Poor Tsukishima thought that he was going to pass out from the stench, but within another 10 minutes, the game was over.
The final score was 25-27, with Karasuno being the victors.
No climb of hell, thank god, the middle blocker sighed before walking out of the waiting zone and headed over to where the boy's water bottles and towels were, just hoping to get rid of his headache.
- Time Skip -
Independent Practice time, a time where the players could work together or work by themselves to improve something they wanted to do. All of Karasuno was working diligently on honing their synchronized attack, well everyone except Tsukishima.
He left earlier than usual and prayed that he wouldn't run into Fukurodani's ace or that stupid cat of a captain. But his prayers were in vain.
Kuroo was already waiting outside of the gym, eager to see his friend one more time before having to leave tomorrow.
"Hey, wanna play a game with me and the ace?"
"It doesn't matter what I say, does it?"
"Not really, but I kinda want you to play with me."
"Why?"
"Because when your not... you, persay, you can actually be a really cool guy to play with."
"Uh-huh."
Tsukishima started to walk towards the gym out of his own will, which surprised Kuroo.
"Well? You said you wanted me to play, come on." The blond stated while rolling his eyes, making the roosterhead smiled and follow the other middle blocker inside the gym.
This time it was a two player game. Bokuto and Akaashi vs. Kuroo and Tsukishima.
No one was really keeping track of points, but what matter was how fast the two middle blockers could force the Owl into his emo mode.
Kuroo and Tsuki tried their best to stop the ace's spikes from getting behind them, which they were able to do a couple of times, but not enough for Bokuto to get depressed about.
Before the boys knew it, the managers of Fukurodani's team stepped in and said that it was time to wrap it up unless they wanted to miss out on dinner.
They all helped put away the equipment before running out of the gym, dying to get something before the cafeteria closed.
By the time they got there, the cafeteria was still available with a couple of people still left over. Tsukishima and Kuroo sat together while the other two players left to go sit with one of their teammates.
"That was fun, I'm going to miss this."
"What do you mean?" Tsuki asked.
"It just that this year I'll be graduating, and I'll be playing in college, but it's not going to be the same without you or all my other friends."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
The two boys talked until they had to walk to their respective rooms, but there was something in the air as they walked towards the stairs.
"Well, I guess I gotta go check on my team."
"Yeah, I gotta go do somethings too."
But the two didn't move. They couldn't for some reason.
Kuroo wanted to confirm something, but he didn't want to do it if Tsukishima wasn't comfortable with it.
"Can I..."
"Um..."
"Nevermind."
But it was already to late. Tsuki thought that he was going to kiss him so he leaned forward and closed his eyes, which caught Kuroo off guard as he felt his lips being pecked by the taller male.
Tsukis opened his eyes, realizing his mistake. His body didn't stop when he heard Kuroo and he just assumed that he wanted to kiss him. That was the last time he was going to go with his gut feeling.
The blond looked down on the ground before looking up and walking up the stairs, never once turning back to look at Kuroo.
The captain on the other hand, wasn't sure what happened or how to process it. He touched his lips with his hands remembering the warm feeling of Tsuki's lips on his.
But what caught him off guard was the fact that he wasn't disgusted or felt weird about another guy kissing you. He felt oddly... happy that Tsukishima did kiss him.
So, he continued to walk down the hallway, with a smile painted on face, knowing that he found someone who he liked.
Meanwhile, Tsukishima was trying to calm his nerves in the bathroom by having the water running in the sink as he kept splashing himself in the face.
"Stupid.... Lame..." He continued to mutter to himself.
He felt ashamed that he did something as uncool as that, despite wanting to kiss Nekoma's captain. He knew now that Kuroo thought that he was weird and that he never wanted to see him again.
So with that, the tall blond dried his face and went to bed, hoping that he would wake up from his horrible dream and get to go home and forget about this stupid, lame training camp.
