"YOUR WHAT?!" Kuroo exclaimed.
"I thought your father told you. Well, I guess I'll tell you to know to get it over with. Kuroo, my dearest son," she said while pinching his cheeks," I'm a lesbian."
"Uhm... ah...????" Poor Kuroo had short-circuited as he was trying to process what had happened after five minutes of reuniting with his mother.
"I guess your dad didn't really tell you anything. Well, come on in," Kuroo's mom gestured to her son to come inside her apartment.
It wasn't much, but it was really cozy and nice. Sure the kitchen and the living room looked like they had seen better days, but it was still something that the rooster-head could call home. Kuroo managed to unpack some of his stuff before his mom called him into the living room.
"So what do you want for lunch?" She asked.
"Oh, whatever you want. I'm not actually hungry."
"Whaaaat? Come on, you just moved in. We gotta celebrate!"
"Thanks mom, but I'm actually still unpacking an-"
"Nonsense! You can finish later. Let's order something in to eat. Takoyaki?"
"Sure," He said with a smile.
With some food on the table along with a couple of beers, the two sat and talk about what they had been doing with their lives since the divorce. Kuroo's mom tried to convince her son to just take a sip of beer, which he decline politely.
One topic lead to another, all of them were fairly interesting. The captain had learned that the reason that his mom and dad separated was because she no longer found men attractive and was a little unsure about her sexuality. Fastforward 2 years, she became a proud lesbian that had fallen in love with a co-worker.
Sadly, they had to spilt up due to work issues. And now, his mom was just looking for love from all these different types of women. Gang leaders, bar-tenders, teachers, other co-workers, you name it, she probably tried it.
"Yeah, the one that just walked out was a bar-tender. Sweet thing, just a little too OCD for me."
"Uh-huh."
"What about you?" Kuroo's mother inquired.
"What about me?"
"Any girls? Boys? I mean come on look at you," She said while leaning over the table to ruffle his hair," There has to be someone that my little Testuro is into~"
Kuroo didn't know whether to tell his mom about him and Tsuki, but judging from her personality and her sexuality, he thought it would be safe to tell her.
"I'm... I'm pretty sure that I'm pansexual or bisexual. Not quite sure."
"Uh-huh. I've been there. Boys and girls are very pretty and handsome aren't they?"
Rooster-head chuckled," Yeah, but... um... I actually have a... boyfriend."
"A what?"
"A... boyfriend."
"Aww," Kuroo's mother gushed,"You gotta introduce me to him some time."
The captain was shocked by his mother's response. She was very calm about it and seemed really interested in who this 'boyfriend' was and when she could meet him. Kuroo felt relief flooded through his system as he listen to his mother blabber on about a different subject.
He felt that even though his father couldn't understand or learn to accept Kuroo right now, he had his mother's support to be who he was and was loved uncondititionally.
