The following day, the boys had to head to Nekoma high a little early to set up the kissing booth. They had both planned to bring some clothes just so they could change at school for the festival, rather than having to border another train ride home. So with their bags in tow, the boys left Kuroo's mom, Akari, and started to head their way to school.

Tsuki was surprised to know that despite the sudden move, Kuroo didn't have to travel that far from Nekoma as they boarded the train together. As the announcer stated that the train was leaving, the doors closed and the train started to move.

Tsuki was practically touching Kuroo's chest, due to how tight the crowd of people was around them. But the rooster-head didn't mind. He wrapped his arm around the younger boy's waist and pulled him towards him.

"W-what are you doing?" Tsuki asked, all flustered from the sudden move.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm just protecting my underclassman from having to be touching other people," Kuroo wiggled his eyebrows.

That didn't stop Tsuki's face from going to pale white to dark red. But he didn't move away from his boyfriend at all. That is, until they had to exit the train and head out of the station.

"We could've been caught back there!" Tsukishima exclaimed.

"But we weren't," Kuroo pointed out.

"Tch. Don't do that again."

"Oya~"

"You're starting to sound like that owl again."

"Hehehehe."

The two boys left the station and headed towards Nekoma. On the way there, they shared anecdotes and had an ongoing conversation just about things in general. That is, until they arrived at the school gateway.

Yaku was standing in the middle of the entrance with his hands on his hips, tapping his foot impatiently on the floor.

"What's up shorty?" The captain greeted.

"Don't you start with that," the libero huffed," You're the last one to arrive. Even Lev was somewhat on time. Where have you been?"

"With him," Kuroo pointed at Tsukishima.

"Nice to meet you," Tsukishima greeted himself.

"Nice to meet you too. Kuroo, I don't care who you were with! We needed your help with something so hurry up!"

CRASH

A sudden thud made all the boys grimace, especially Yaku. The poor shorty was fuming as he raced back to the gym, screaming words a mile a minute. Something along the lines of 'Yamamoto' and 'you idiot'.

With that, the short boy left the other two at the entrance gate, looking at each other quizzically.

"So I see you got your own trouble makers too?" Tsuki snarked.

"Nah, most of my team is clumsy. Doesn't mean that we still won't beat your guy's asses at Nationals," Kuroo smiled while walking into the schoolyard.

"Tch."

The two boys headed down to the gym, wondering to see what caused the loud thud earlier. Once they arrived at the gym, they had noticed a broken banner, bent-up ladder, and paint was everywhere.

Yamamoto and Lev were covered in paint as they kept apologizing Yaku for the mess they made. But the older one didn't even stop criticizing them about how incompetent and stupid they were for playing around with the banner. Apparently, Yaku and Kenma had spent most of that morning painting it.
