DRACO's POV
After the end of term shenanigans I was supposed to go straight to New York with Athena and her family but Athena had contacted me to go home first and check on my family. Yes you heard it right, she contacted me, at the point when everyone was going to travel back home she was still unconscious but we have been contacting each other through our connection.
So here I was, walking down to our front door with my trunk. As I approached the door it swung open and I saw my mother on the other side. "Draco? Sweetheart I thought you were staying with Athena?" she asked.
I sighed, "I am, I just wanted to check on you and father first." She was hesitated at first but let me in. Giving my trunk to our house elf and asking them to pack for a new set of clothes, in a blink they were gone.
My mother waited for me and when she saw I was ready she led me to father's sitting room. There I walked in I saw him slouching with his hands on his head. "Father..." I greeted and he looked at me. He had worried and guilty eyes, I sighed.
"I think I understand what you meant at the Stark's party..." I paused as I looked at him, "She's fine, she'll be in America for the rest of the summer, and I'll be joining her."
He nodded and then turned to me, he motioned for me to move closer, "I know I have yet to express how proud I am of you son, but I am. Now that you have Athena, don't let anything ruin it. She's the only hope we have to get out of this retched situation..." he said as he looked at mother. He had guilt in his eyes.
"Listen to me very carefully, a lot will change and me and your mother have talked to Athena. She knows, she knows that I was there at the graveyard. I will have to continue to work as long as I can to prevent death to come upon you and your mother. But you, hold onto to her, alright?"
He looked at me straight in the eyes, "She's the chance you have to be part of the light son. I am buried deep into this but you and mother can go. I believe in you that you will do what is right."
