Introverted

Introverts they call us,
Wait there before you judge.
Just like every other personality,
From the conventional stereotypes,
I don't conform to rules.
The 'introvert' rules.
Oh yes, you'll find my nose in a book,
And I prefer to stay in my own nook,
And for me to discover the flip side of me,
Literal years it took.
Yes I'm an introvert and yet,
I don't shy away from the stage.
Social media is my right hand,
Slamming and anchoring just breezes.
And the pressure of the extempore,
Never fazes my glasses off.
Yes I'm an introvert.
You won't see me in parties.
But with my gang,
I am as savage as I can be.
I laugh and I sing,
And dance away into the night.
I maynot like DJ and jazz,
But still I try it all,
Cause don't want to miss life,
Just because my mind is in a strife.
I maybe lost in daydreams when you see,
My unseeing eyes may not recognise you at once.
Maybe because I was in my thoughts,
Or drowned in that perfect song.
Just I am an introvert,
Not a freak.
Wait there before you judge.
There are eight types of us,
We're not so simple as the definition says,
We need not be readers,
We may not have glasses,
We may love the stage,
Or may go to parties,
Or be loud, bold and free...
Stil we are introverts, yes.
