It hits you like a freight train
Throwing you off track
How much you might have anticipated
The blow always lands with a whack!
When you're used to change
It shouldn't bother you, they say
But thoughts of change, even if nice
Bother me every single day
I hear, change is the root of life
Nothing is utterly constant
But how still change manages
To creep on me in an instant
I'm good at keeping together
Everytime the world becomes a mayhem
How much ever you've settled
You can't just avoid them
But once in a while I wonder
How nice would be be to be stable
Packing moving, constantly hassled
Peace is almost a fairytale fable
And here it comes again
The onslaught of the change
The world I've settled for a while
Is once again going to turn strange
But I know how change comes
I know how things will settle again
New places, newer adventures
And the same skies, thoughts and rain
So maybe this time change will be
Much more than just a bother
Newer adventures await for me
Just as today crosses into day another!
A/N
Change does bother, doesn't it?
But we're stronger and we adapt
