#FAIRYLIGHTTANGLES
The tangled wires in our mind, Are all wrapped and in a mess The more we think and think We tangle the fairy lights more in excess
Sometimes we get angry And try to unravel them by force, the strain Tears the delicately thin wires, And the light will never glow again
To untangle them needs patience, Because the wires are knotted together Carefully we need to untie the tangled thoughts It's a tough job but it's worth the bother
Another way is better than all this mess, Is to fold them neatly when packing Which unfortunately never happens because Thoughts don't arrange in a row stacking
Try to untangle them really fast, And they'll go get tangled more Try to do it slow and steady though, And I bet you'll solve the wiry puzzle sure.
So we need to patiently untangle, And they get tangled again, like thoughts from the start But once it's all straightened out and connected, The gorgeous lights illuminate the heart.
#untanglingtangles . . A/N The other day I was unraveling these lights for a friend's birthday. These lights have been reused ever since they were gifted on my birthday last year, but when I fold them after a party, I never care to actually fold them properly, resulting in me having to untangle them with the clock ticking fast to 12 am... Now that day for some reason I was frustrated and these knots were too many. The more I tried to do them faster, they more they got tangled. At one point I would've literally torn them off if I hadn't calmed myself down. But then I cooled myself and concentrated on mending the tangles. There was a easy way but I've been doing it the hard way, just like our thoughts sometimes. Once on, the fairy lights brought a smile ☺...
