Without A Doubt

Chapter 31.

It's 6:30 in the morning and Liv and I are waiting in my car in front of the school. Obviously, no one's here yet because club doesn't start for another 30 minutes. We picked up breakfast this morning. After everything that happened yesterday this moment feels like the calm before the storm. As we ate we just sort of sat in silence. Maybe I'm more worried than I should be. I don't know. I was still thinking when Liv turned to me and said

"It's gonna be fine. Stop worrying."

"Yeah I know."

"Then stop worrying." She put her hand on my cheek. It made me smile.

"I know, I know. I just want to make sure you're okay."

"As long as I'm with you, I'm okay." I felt my ears burn. That was super cheesy, but it was... cute. After we finished our food we got down and went into the school. We were the first ones in the library. Next was Peter, then Carter and Jane, then David, then Ms. Scott. Liv has gotten into the habit of sitting next to me now. I like it.

After we all finished reading our papers we migrated towards the donuts that Ms. Scott brought. Liv and I halved one because we had just eaten and also because I can't eat sweets in the morning. I found out that Ms. Scott sort of has a pattern. She always brings tacos, then pigs in the blanket, then donuts. Every once in a while, she'll bring McDonald's or something like that. Once we all had a donut we sat back down and started talking. It's only 7:40. We've got time to kill. The boys were talking about something, while Liv and Jane chatted. I wasn't really listening to either conversation. I was thinking about our game tonight. We're playing Concave, so it shouldn't be a hard game. I just want to play already. Because once the game starts that means the day is over and I don't have to deal with anyone.

"So, everyone knows now?" Jane asked Liv. The question pulled me out of my head.

"Seems like it." Liv shrugged. She then looked at me and gave me a hopeful look. I gave her back a grimacing smile then turned my attention towards the boys.

"Are you okay?" Jane asked. I thought the question was directed at Liv, so I didn't answer. When I realized they were both looking at me I turned back to look at Jane with a confused look.

"I'm sorry what?"

"I asked if you were okay." I looked down at my bracelet then back at Jane.

"Kind of."

"What do you mean kind of?" I debated for a second as to whether or not I should answer honestly. Liv gave me a look.

"I don't know. I just always assume the worst."

"I'm sure it'll be fine. It's not like you guys have anything to hide." As soon as she said that my ears started to burn.

"Yeah. That's true." Liv said. I looked down at my watch. 7:58, the bells about to ring.

"You ready to go?" Liv nodded her head and started getting up along with the rest of us. I put my headphones in and started walking towards the door. I felt Liv come up next to me and grab my hand. It took me by surprise when she did that. I looked up from our hands and then at her.

"Is this okay?" I just smiled at myself a bit.

"Yeah. It's great." I turned my music on and walked Liv to her class. Now that everyone knows I can walk her to her classes.

Jackie's POV

Sending that video to Mariah was the best decision I could have made. I knew that if I sent it to her she would send it absolutely everyone. And that's exactly what happened. It's so easy to get what I want. I guess it's because I had to learn how to get what I want. But hey, it works out perfectly for me. I wonder how Oliver is gonna like being Mayson's girlfriend. Everyone in the group chats were tearing her a new one. It was so funny when someone asked if we should warn her. Of course, stupid Eden and Emma started saying how cute she is, that we should just shut up or whatever. Even with Eden and Emma being buzz kills it was still fun to see what everyone said.

It sucks that I missed practice yesterday. When I saw them at lunch I was super irritated. I hated the fact that she chose Oliver over me. Like seriously? She's a nobody. I never even noticed her until that one time. I don't think anyone had noticed her before. But now, everyone knows who Olivia Lane is. After I saw them I decided to bail on practice for the day. We were just going to be running plays. It was pointless. Instead I text Asher to ditch class and meet me at my house. Of course, he said yes. As soon as he got to my house though I was annoyed. He's such a guy. He went straight for my pants as soon as he got there. He didn't even kiss me or anything. He just picked me up, put me on the bed and started attempting to finger me, but he's never done that right. I know we're just fucking around, but at least when I was fucking around with Mayson she would kiss me.

During lunch I debated on what I should do next. I wonder how Mayson's little girlfriend would feel if she found out she had been fucking me. Even after she'd met her. Now that could be interesting.
