With one swipe using the back of my hand. the beads of sweat that began to form on my forehead were nonexistent. Word got around quickly that I auditioned and got a standing ovation, and now the results are going to be announced.

In front of everyone.

'Relax, Jemma. Like Ian said, your chances of getting the part are high.' Lily says, attempting to reassure me. I present her a weak smile, the thing is, she doesn't get it.

Everyone knows about my 'success' in the audition, so what happens if I don't get in? I'm going to become a laughing stock.

The principle then walked on our school stage and started the assembly. 'Good Morning. As you all know, recently, auditions were held for this years school musical. The head of the drama committee has presented me with the names of the two lead roles. And they are Mr Wright..'

I nearly spit out my tongue.

Aaron?

But he was on the panel....this makes no sense and is most certainly not fair.

You know, now not getting the part doesn't seem that bad.

'And the lucky person who gets to work alongside Mr Wright is....Miss Newman.'

The hall burst into claps before I could react, and walking up to the stage I heard a couple whistles which completely baffled me. I stood next to the principle, on his left was Aaron.

"Now, now, settle down. There have been some changes to the play, some or few people in school know of said change but the actors and panel don't. There was a vote taken and the new theme, the last one being a pantomime, is a romcom. Good luck to you both.'

Me and Aaron just stood there with wide eyes and open mouths.

A romcom?

No.

Just no.

Hell no.

Heck no.

This is not happening.

Damn it I crave donuts.

**Clueless**

'From the top! Let's get it right this time. Action! And cue music.' Ian says.

Me and Aaron roll our eyes, clearly flustered. But, we have a right to be- Well, I have human rights, Aaron has animal rights and I don't exactly know what they are.

"Your the voice I hear inside my head, the reason that I'm singing, I gotta find you, I gotta find you. Your the missing piece I need, the song inside of me, I gotta find you. Okay, yeah are we done now because I have a life waiting for me." Aaron says, glaring. Ian starts huffing, knowing that this will never work.

'Aaron. Grow up, Jemma let's start from you.'

Son of a trash can.

"If your the sun then I'm the moon, if your the words then I'm the tune yeah. If your the heart then I'm the beat. Somehow together we're complete. There are times my world is crumbling and the rain is crashing down but everywhere you are the sun comes out..Even when your gone I feel you close, you'll always be the one I love the most. Your in my heart, on my mind, you are underneath my skin and anywhere, anytime that you need anything, count me in-." I stop singing and burst out laughing.

They honestly expect me to sing a stupid love song to Aaron and not find it funny?

Ian rolls his eyes, ignoring my eruption and tilts his head, like signalling for us to do something...

No.

Hell no.

Ian puts on his listen to me now or else face and Aaron takes a step closer, then I do, then he does and his face leans in.

Perfect chance.

I slap him.

**Clueless**

"You did what?! Oh, I can see his admirers with pitchforks coming at you now. Well, it was nice knowing you." Courtney says, filing her nails.

This isn't exactly helpful. "What? Can't a girl kid around? I'm joking, well, at least there is no school tomorrow. You don't have to put up with and face Aaron."

No school tomorrow? Oh, it's Saturday, I'm saved.

Pause your hakuna matata's, tomorrow is the day of the slumber party.

I'm toast.

Burnt toast.

Hey, Courtney's right, it was nice knowing me.
