I shut my locker, clutching my English and Math books to my chest.

I turned to face Lily and Courtney, who, judging by the books in their grasp, had completely different lessons as to mine.

"I've got Mr Brown now, yippee!" Lily said, sarcastically. Mr Brown was liked by no-one, he was the strictest, bossiest and oldest teacher in our school.

"Well, at least you don't have to put up with Claudette." Courtney mouned, shoving her books in her bag. "She seems to have it in for me."

"Nothing beats what I have to go through. Human Torture." I say.

"You've got math, haven't you?" Lily assumed and she was right. I nodded. Why can't math grow up and solve it's own problems?

The bell rang and we headed to our lessons. I faced the Maths Department with a sulk, why did maths have to be...maths? I opened Miss Collins classroom door and prepared myself for immense pain.

I sat at my usual spot and when everyone in the class had arrived, it turns out miss had an announcement.

"I've made new seating arrangements. Look under each desk to find your name and that will be your seat until further notice."

I sighed and grabbed my belongings, everyone was clearly flustered by this new change.

I looked around for my seat but was baffled when my name wasn't anywhere. I informed miss and she looked confused for a split second but realisation hit her instantly.

"Ah, I forgot one detail. Your results seemed to improve in your last test so for the rest of the semester you will be transferred to maths classroom d. It was a pleasure teaching you Jemma."

I cracked a smile but once I was outside the classroom I groaned, this just meant harder maths. I slumped over to my new class and knocked on...oh boy, Mr Brown's door.

"I've been expecting you, you may sit..." His eyes scanned the classroom, searching for an empty seat, while I looked for Lily, who waved at me once I made eye contact with her. "You will be seated next to Mr Wright." The pencil drumming suddenly stopped and Aaron looked up.

"Next to me sir? Jesus-"

'-help you.' I finish.

I walked up to my seat.

"Well, I'm not happy about my seat either, thank you very much." I said. This just makes math a whole lot easier...NOT. Aaron snorted and went back to his pencil dumming, boys. Aaron seemed to know the answers to most questions, not that he lifted his hands to answer, he was picked, like most people in the class.

"Can you stop that ear splitting noise?" I say, snatching Aaron's pencil. Everyone in the class turned to face us, clearly noticing that the irritating noise has come to a hault. "Shall I do it so you know the annoyance of this so called pencil drumming?" I say, hitting the pencil hard on the table continuously. Aaron just stares at me with his cold blue eyes.

"Give it back." Gasps are heared all over the classroom. I roll my eyes, what is the big deal, people seriously need lives- that includes me as I'm fighting with a jerk over a pencil.

"Make me."

Mr Brown suddenly turns from the whiteboard, causing the floorboards to creak. "Detention, Mr Wright and Ms Newman. Detention, tonight."

Oh yay, let me form a band and call it Lemonade Mouth.

I walked silently next to Aaron who seemed to dismiss my presense, we were walking towards the detention room. Heavens knew what Aaron must be thinking, I was just curious to see who else had recieved detention. Aaron waited for me to open the door, I waited for him. Doesn't he know the expression ladies first?

Aaron sighed and opened the door forcefully, causing me to snicker but the joke was on me as he pulled the door with all his might so it would slam in my face, and it did.

What a gentlemen.

He then opened it slightly before smirking and slamming it shut once again.
