3 : soft comforts

"babe I'm sorry to hear that" he softens.

"it's okay." you said while looking away, not trying to break down in front of him.

Suddenly Jake pulls you into a hug and kissed you on the lips

'dang I miss this so much'

you miss all the kisses he would give you.

"everything will be okay"

"Baby listen to me, no matter what, I will be here for you. I will protect you till the day I die. Being adopted is not a crime, it's not wrong."  he assured you.

you smiled and snuggled into his chest.

"okay can I let go of this umbrella? my hand hurts." he joked.

You laughed and pull him into a hug, making him drop the umbrella. You both hugged each other in the rain.

you whispered in his ears. "Now we are both wet" you grinned.

'lets just stay like this forever. he is right. even if the whole world hates me, even if I have no one, I still have Jake. Jake is here for me. He will be there for me. Especially when I need him.'

"ahh your ice cream is melting" you pointed to the plastic bag he was holding.

He laughed.

"Aigoo" he pat your head and gave it to you.

"hehe lets share" you giggled and open it up.

You took a bite and shoved it in his mouth.

"Maam!" he scolded you, ice cream on his mouth. You laughed and wiped his mouth.

'he's so precious'

*few hours later*

Somehow.. you and Jake ended up in a fast food restaurant. You were just stuffing fries in your mouth with a burger in your hands.

"Girl, calm downn" laughed Jake. you slowed down and smiled.

"you alright?? does eating makes you feel better?" he chuckled.

"of course! I didn't get to eat just now hehe. To be honest, I don't even know what else to expect. Maybe I just need to move on from the fact that I'm adopted? I mean, it won't change anything anyway. Still the maid of the house" you smiled, letting Jake give a sigh of relief seeing how much better you look.

"And one more thing ma'am. What were you thinking sitting in the rain like that? What if you get sick??" he asked you with an angry face. you shrugged.

'literally nothing mattered to me at that time. and how would I know if it was gonna rain'

he shook his head and continued to stare at you eat.

'I cant risk you falling sick. and I'm here, suppose to be protecting you. who knows what would have happened to you if I didn't stroll in the park. I swore to protect you. if anything happens to you, I'm not gonna forgive myself. ever.'  the thoughts didn't stop Jake from being worried.

after eating, he sent you home. while walking, he grabs your hand and clenched it with his. the rain has stopped and the atmosphere was nice and quiet.

it was kinda windy and that made you into a better mood. for once, all your problems are gone. your mind is free of what had happened at home. you felt at peace with Jake, the guy who you love so much and who you don't want to lose.

you sighed as you approach the front door.

"looks like we are here.." Jake said sadly.

"hey, we are going to see each other tomorrow. don't worry" you comforted him.
