14 : gift

Days have passed, you have been trying to move on from Jake. Its now December.

Day by day you would cry by the window. You skipped prom and graduation day. Everything wasn't the same without Jake.

You felt lonely and it was as if your heart has been ripped apart. You felt empty. 

You had trouble sleeping so you kept eating the sleeping pills, just enough to fall asleep. Hyejin kept giving you warnings to not eat the pills, but you can't help it. 

You listened to Jake's favourite songs to keep you companied. The hole in your heart would get filled but emptied out again when you realised he isn't around anymore.

You laid on your bed and stare into the ceiling. You took the necklace and shine light through it. You were shock to see some words on the ceiling. 

'i love you' in different languages

Your heart softens and you started to cry.

'Jake..i love you..i love you' those words keep repeating in your head until you fell asleep.

Suddenly you got woken up by someone shaking you.

"Hanee?! What the hell! I called you but you didn't answer! I thought you were dead!" you looked at the person nagging at you.

'oh, its Hyejin'

you smiled at her weakly.

"Are you okay? You look pale." Hyejin put her hand on your forehead.

"Girl you're burning!" she looked at the the table beside your bed.

She was shocked to see an opened bottle of sleeping pills. She picked it up and got angry when she saw how little it has left.

"You're still eating this?! Hanee, do you want to get overdosed or something?!" she scolded you.

"What else could i do Hyejin? I miss him so much, i feel like im going insane. Can i die instead? I just want this pain to stop" your heart starts to hurt and you cry.

Hyejin looked at you with pity eyes. She hugged you tightly.

"Get it together Hanee. Jake wouldn't want you to kill yourself. We will find that women and we finish her together. Don't you want revenge?" She asked. You can see the eagerness in her eyes.

'we will find her. i will make her regret everything'

"Now lets deal with that fever okay?" she went to kitchen and grab a towel, a bowl of cold water, and fever pills.

She placed the towel into the water and squeezed the water out. She put the towel onto your forehead.

"c-cold" you were shock at the coldness of the water.

"Deal with it! Its your fault!" she said angrily and you laughed.

"Hyejin-ah.." you slowly said.

'i've made up my mind'

"what?" she asked, squeezing the towel.

"I want to find her, and kill her." you quickly said. She stared at you.

"Sure, Count that as done" she continued squeezing.

"Why are you not shock?" you sit up straight.

"Why would i? I have been killing people Hanee. Even if you didn't plan on killing her, i will do it for you instead"

"You have to promise me that you won't back out and will train hard" she said, sticking out her pinky.

"Promise" you stuck out your pinky and intertwined with hers.
