Page 56 - The Emperor's Lost Story (Part II)
Nanlaki ang mga mata ko, but instead of feeling scared, I am pissed off.
"My men are my business alone. They are mine. They are my problem. Not yours, Emperor.
DO.NOT.TOUCH.THEM."
Someone screamed my name on the other line.
"Zony!"
Airen.
He's the one I might hate the most of those six but him screaming my name in fear did nothing to relieve my anger.
"Let them go, Emperor. Huwag kang mangialam or else.."
Or else ano? Shit. I couldn't think of anything. The realization that I have nothing to threaten him with finally makes me afraid.
"Or else?" the Emperor repeated, waiting.
"Or else I will make sure you regret it."
It's empty for now but in the future, I swear 'pag nangialam siya sa kung ano man ang meron sa pagitan ko at nung anim, pagsisihan niya.
Hahanap ako ng paraan.
The man, Trouble's Uncle, the feared and respected Emperor of all Mafia Famiglia, laughed.
His laughed is eerie but at the same time beautiful.
His laugh sounds familiar all of a sudden.
I heard this laugh before.
Pero saan? Kelan? Paano?
Kahit si Trouble natulala na lang. She is now looking at me with surprise and curiosity.
Nang tumigil yung Uncle niya sa pagtawa, I heard him commanded,
"Unlock, Roland. Let them go."
He was not speaking to me but to the people he have wherever he is.
There were movements and muffled voices. But then, someone screamed,
"RUN, MY QUEEN! RUN! NEVER ASSOCIATE WITH THE EMPER-"
Naputol ito ng tunog ng malakas na pagsara ng pinto.
But I know that voice. Only one person calls me my queen.
Naoe. It was Naoe.
And he sounded really distress and afraid.
"If you hurt what's not your business-"
"I didn't hurt them, Zony Evviola. If I did, they wouldn't be screaming."
The Emperor laughed again, but this time, it is a sound of pure cruelty.
"You are twisted. Fuck up." walang takot na sabi ko sa kaniya.
Trouble looked so alarmed she almost grab the phone away from me.
Chuckling, the Emperor replied,
"Indeed I am.
Oh, before I forgot. I have one last toy to play with today. You won't mind if I play with her, don't you?"
