Page 76 – One More Taste Please
After the human archery lesson, nasa training ko palagi ang Emperor para magmasid. No crazy stunt so far but his presence never failed to make me uncomfortable.
Dahil sa mga exercises at kung anu-ano pang training sa weapon handling, hindi ko na napansin na nagka-muscle na ako not until one night when Van Helsing commented back in my cabin,
“Look at those abs, princess! I'm turned on—aray!” napatigil siya nang binatukan siya ni Roland sa ulo at sinabing,
“Careful. Baka ihagis sa'yo ni De Silva yung kutsilyong hawak niya.”
Knidn was chopping some vegetables for our dinner that night. Napansin ko rin na tumigil yung tunog ng pag-chop na nag resume rin naman pagkatapos ng ilang segundo.
The next night nang nasa cabin ulit ang mga kaibigan ni Knidn, we started discussing about my upcoming final test.
“I’m surprised the Emperor hasn’t pulled a crazy stunt yet after he turned Boss into a human target.” komento ni Van Helsing as he munch pieces of potatoes from the adobo.
Nakaupo kami sa mga upuan na nasa maliit kong table, eating dinner. As usual, Knidn volunteered to cook. He said he loved cooking and he's crazy for it knowing I'm eating whatever he cooked.
“No crazy stunt but he always made sure I almost perfect every test,” pagod na sabi ko. “Hindi pwede pasado lang. Dapat perfect or almost perfect.” Pagod na unti-unting nawawala dahil sa sobrang sarap ng lutong adobo ni Knidn.
I moaned in delight at sumandok pa ng kanin at ulam.
“He's strict with you. A twisted way of showing he really cared and treasured you above others,” paliwanag ni Roland. “Just like what you said, he's testing your limits to ensure you have the highest chance of survival.”
“Don’t worry, Zony. I'll be always watching to remind him if he ever go beyond the line.” said Knidn with a soft, encouraging smile.
Ngumiti ako pabalik kay Knidn, “Best guard ever.”
Hindi ko mapigilang mapaungol muli nang nag burst sa bunganga ko yung juicy na adobong manok. In my peripheral vision, I saw Knidn licked his lips.
“Zony’s moaning because of adobo while Boss looked like a man half-starve because of Zony.” komento muli ni Van Helsing.
Ngumisi ako sa kaniya, “Oh Vanilla, you’re the one to talk,” still smirking at him, “I heard you panted, saliva dripping, after you saw your crush in a skimpy bikini.” I winked.
“How did you know that—Roland you bastard!” inis na baling ni Van Helsing sa katabi nito.
“Payback’s a bitch huh?” tanong ni Roland at nagtulakan ang dalawa na parang mga batang nag aaway.
Napailing lang si Knidn, “How's your Willow by the way?”
Lumingon sa kaniya si Van Helsing still in the middle of a pushing competition with Roland. “Good. By the way Boss, I'm recommending a new hire to you. Bago lang din siya, but unlike our Zony here,” sumulyap sa akin saglit si Van Helsing, “..he didn’t have to deal with the Emperor's personal touch to training so he's now a lowly foot soldier.”
“Pulling ranks, Vanilla?” singit ni Roland sabay hila sa pisngi ng katulakan niya.
“Shut up, Roland-times-three! This new soldier has an excellent score and I see a lot of potential in him.”
“Noted, Van Helsing,” sagot ni Knidn. “I'll look into his records.” Bumaling ang tuon sa akin ni Knidn, “How’s my adobo?”
“Can you be my personal cook forever?” I asked, eyes glittering.
Knidn grinned at me, “My pleasure.”
Napaungol ulit ako matapos humigop ng sabaw. “Ah, Knidn! So good!”
“Yeah?”
“Yup. Ang sarap. Sobrang sarap.”
Knidn hummed. He leaned closer to me. Ramdam ko ang init na inilalabas ng katawan niya dahil magkadikit na ang binti namin. “Gusto mo pa?” malambing na bulong niya sa tenga ko.
“Yes please. One more. Ang sarap kasi.”
