Nang binuksan ko ang aking mga mata, alam ko na wala na ako sa cabin o sa mga pamilyar na lugar na malapit lang dito.

Unti-unti akong nagkaroon ng malay. I looked around, felt something really soft cushioning me. I am slumped against a black sofa. Naupo ako at napahawak sa aking noo nang biglang may masakit na gumuhit dito.

Then I remember, I was kidnapped, even drugged. I checked my clothes and was relieved to know nothing seemed out of place. The only thing I was missing were my earrings. They’re gone. What kind of kidnapper would be attracted to earrings to steal it from me?

“The kind who’s just being careful. Earrings have sharp points and though they are small, they could still cause a serious injury of you know where to hit.” sagot ng isang pamilyar na boses. Malaghong at malamig ito. I might have voiced my thoughts out loud.

I knew this voice. This was one of the voices hunting me on my nightmares. Lahat naman siguro matatakot sa kaniya…

Boots entered my peripheral vision, black combat boots. Inangat ko ang aking tingin. Black pants. Black long sleeve polo. Rings of varying sizes adorned his fingers. Kuminang sa akin na parang kumikindat yung singsing na may palamuting korona.

Throat with a healed diagonal slit covered with stitch marks. There was also a tattooed letter L directly on this healed injury. When my eyes finally went to his face, I was greeted by the blackest of all eyes. He was smiling at me na para bang normal lang sa kaniya na magpakidnap ng tao.

“You kidnapped me!” galit na sigaw ko sa kaniya.

His expression didn't change when he answered,

“Stating the obvious again, Zony Evviola, or shall I call you niece? Will it make you more comfortable?”

“I’m not your niece and for your information walang normal na tao ang magiging komportable kapag siya'y nakidnap. Oh, you might not know that because you are abnormal!”

This person might kill me just for saying that but speaking, speaking right now, just felt right. I needed to voice out my emotions or else pagsisihan ko na hindi ako nanglaban.

If I fall, I would fall down fighting.

But he just chuckled at me looking so delighted. Para siyang batang nakadiskobre ng bagong laruan.
