“Zony!” she shouted my name in joy at niyakap ako. “How are you, my niece?”
Aeon's with Trouble and Beks habang wala si Tita Lin sa bahay namin back in the Philippines.
“I’m good, Tita. Ikaw? Wala namang ginawang masama sa'yo si Uncle Herion?”
Umiling siya, “Herion will never hurt me, Zony.”
May boots akong nakita and there standing behind Tita Lin was the Emperor.
“I told you never doubt my love for your Aunt, niece.” saad niya. I was still hugging Tita Lin when he added, “What? No hug for me?” At ini-stretch niya ang mga braso waiting for my hug.
Bumulong si Tita Lin sa akin, “Hug him or else magtatampo 'yan.”
I let go Tita Lin and I was now hugging my fearsome Uncle. He patted my back before he let me go. Pumasok silang dalawa sa loob ng cabin observing everything their eyes landed on. Observing my three companions.
Magkasabay na tumayo yung tatlo at bumati kay Uncle Herion, “Good evening, my Emperor.”
Pinitik ni Tita Lin si Uncle Herion sa nguso sabay sabing, “Don’t be too harsh on them, Herzekiel.” The Emperor of Mafia Famiglia just pecked her on the lips and answered, “I know what I’m doing, my Linnaea.”
Tita Lin rolled her eyes and she invite herself on our mini-kitchen to eat, “I’m hungry. Kain lang ako, Zony.”
“Sige Tita.”
Nagsasandok si Tita Lin ng kanin nang ibinaling ko ang tingin sa Emperor na ngayo’y nasa harapan na nung tatlo.
Pinanuod ko sila sa 'di kalayuan. Preparing myself to interfere if needed.
“I stripped the three of you of your position as my elite soldiers.” malamig na anunsyo niya.
“Uncle—”
“Don’t interfere, Zony Evviola, or else this will get worse.”
I shut my mouth at nag aalalang pinagmasdan yung tatlo. Van Helsing was open-mouthed and pale. Si Roland naman malayo ang tingin. Meanwhile, si Knidn…his eyes looked so alive. Just by the look from those green eyes, alam mo ng wala siyang pinagsisihan.
“You know why I did?”
Si Roland yung sumagot, “Because we prioritized love and friendship over duty.”
“Excellent deduction as expected, Roland.” Tumingin ng diretso ang Emperor sa mga mata ni Knidn, “And you, from now on, you lose the chance, any possibilities, of becoming my heir.”
I watched as Knidn’s face turned crestfallen. Kasalanan ko. Kasalanan ko kung bakit nangyayari 'to sa kanila.
But I was surprised when Knidn immediately recovered at mas tumindig pa siya ng tayo. He was staring at me when he replied to the Emperor, “If that’s what you think is the best, my Emperor. But know that I don’t regret anything.”
