Bumunot ako ng baril at itinutok sa kaniya, “Let them go safely or else I'm going to make sure your brain splatter!” I hissed at ikinasa yung baril aiming directly for his head.

Ngumisi lang ulit siya sa akin. Wala man lang takot at kaba na bumabagabag based from his expression. All of a sudden, a familiar clicking of a gun sounded behind me.

A voice commanded, “Drop your gun or you will be hurt, Emperor’s Heir.”

Pamilyar. It’s the voice of the guard from the entrance earlier.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck!

“I said, drop.your.gun.”

Hinulog ko yung baril at dumagundong sa silid ang pagbagsak nito sa semento. Nanlambot ang mga braso ko. Sumusuko. At nang naramdaman kong ibinababa niya na rin ang baril na nakatutok sa likuran ng ulo ko, that’s when I did a one hundred eighty degee manuever, hinila at ibinalikot ang braso niya hanggang nasa likuran na niya ako, this time, a knife on her neck as I held her hands immobile on her back using a strong grip with my other hand.

“You don't get to run this. You start this game with me. Now I have the upper hand. Let my men go, never lay your filthy hands on them ever again, or else I'll slit the throat of your dear sister!” I hissed with so much venom no one would doubt my threat.

“Akala ko ba break na kayo or did the meaning of the word 'break up' already change?” The silver-eyed man tilted his head, “I don't understand why you still care for them.”

I tried so hard earlier to admit it myself but damn it I still care for these six.

And damn it because I think I'm still in love with them.

“Make me understand, eh?” dagdag nung lalaki.

“Do you love someone?” tanong ko.

Kaagad siyang sumagot, “Of course I do! My sister, I love her, the love of a brother. And money. I fucking love money. I guess I also love my favorite human slave.”

I didn’t allow myself to react to the word slave. May ganiyan pa sa panahon ngayon? But knowing this thing happening to me because of this bullshit Power Assembly, it shouldn’t be a surprise.

“Then, you care for their well-being?” tanong ko.

Hinampas niya ulit ang mga paa sa mesa, “I get it! I get it! You care because you still love them! Cheesy. I hate cheese.”

Tiningnan ko yung timer. Two minutes and fourteen seconds. Fuck. Tapos mukhang wala pa siyang balak na i-deactivate yung vein bomb!

All of a sudden, the girl lifted me on her back and threw me to the floor. Napauntog ang noo ko sa semento dahil sa pagkakasubsob. Damn it. I’m always a loser back during our training against that aikido maneuver!

Kaagad akong bumaligtad at tatayo sana nang tinapakan nung babae yung dibdib ko. I grabbed her feet in an attempt to lift it away pero malakas yung kalaban ko.

She cooed at me and replied, “They’re sleeping. Don’t worry. We ain’t really allowed to kill you or your elite guards,” sumimangot siya, “.. unfortunately.”

I might just have twenty seconds or less. An idea entered my head. Nang bumabagsak ang katawan ko kanina, nakita ko yung baril na aking binitawan just some inches away from me. Nasa ilalim ito ng upuan na kung saan nakatali si Hae kaya siguro hindi napansin ng babaeng may silver na mata.

I extended my hand to reach it and the next thing that happened was I pointed the barrel directly on my head.

“Let them go or I'll kill myself.”

Nanlaki yung mata ng babae.

Bumukas yung ilaw kasabay ng pagbulyaw ng isang malaghong na boses, “Game over.”
