What could possibly so weird about tonight that Will had to warn me, other than Jay probably being home. I knock on the Halstead's door and Will answers, but he's holding a baby bottle.
"Will, is there something you need to tell me?" I ask as I walk in the apartment
"It may be easier if you see." My boyfriend tells me
I glance over at the couch and find Jay laying on his side in a onesie with a pacifier in his mouth. I shoot a look over at Will and he starts talking.
"Everyone has ways of coping with things and with as bad as Jay was treated as a child, this is his way, he regresses and he doesn't have to worry, someone else is taking care of him." Will explains
I nod my head and sit on one end of the couch and Will picks Jay up and places him on his lap. Tipping him back slightly, Will holds the nipple of the bottle to Jay's lips and he drinks the milk inside.
"Isn't he heavy?" I ask
"Despite all the muscle, he's tiny." Will answers
Jay finishes the bottle and lets out a content sigh.
"Alright, time to get you to bed." Will says
"Can you carry him, I need to get his bed ready." Will tells me
"Yeah, sure." I reply and take Jay from Will
He is light, he must not eat much.
Will gets Jay's bed ready and I lay him down before we get back to date night.
