16: Voight and the unit part 1

Mouse

And it's time to go to work now. Jay didn't sleep very well and neither did I, I stayed up for 3 nightmares and a full-blown panic attack. I look over at him and frown, he's curled up in a ball. finally asleep.

"Baby, it's time to wake up." I say kissing Jay

"I just fell asleep." Jay grumbles around his pacifier

"Well, lets get up and get dressed, some food, and you can go to sleep when we get to work." I tell my boyfriend

"Fine." Jay pouts getting out of bed

I go make some coffee as Jay's getting dressed.

"I need help." Jay says walking into the kitchen

"Your ribs aren't cooperating are they?"  I ask

Jay nods his head. I take the shirt from Jay and lift both his arms up. I slip the shirt over Jay's arms and head and then pull him in for a hug. When we release each other I hand Jay a cup of coffee. After we get food and coffee in our systems, I drive us to work.

As Mouse and Jay walk into the unit I watch as Mouse get's Jay situated at his desk. Jay's most likely going to fall asleep again. Mouse walks into my office and shuts the door. 

"Talk." I demand

"It's called age play or age regression, people use it to escape reality and have other people take care of them. This is what Jay does, it helps him deal with PTSD, his childhood, and stress. His head space is under a year old." Mouse explains

"And I'm his certified 'daddy'" He adds

"Okay, so he slipped into this other head space last night." I clarify for myself

"I think we need to tell the rest of the unit." Mouse tells me

"Yeah, how deep of a sleep is Jay in right now?" I ask pointing to Jay's desk

"Oh we won't wake him up, trust me we didn't sleep last night." Mouse replies

"Well move him to the couch in here anyway?" I say

"K." Mouse responds
