"You've gotta look your best. I mean going to a university like that, with hot brits-"
"Jessie!" I exclaimed and put a end to her fussing.
She has volunteered to pack my bags. Which also included her going through my wardrobe and ranting about my clothes condition.
"Why the hell do you have this?" She asked appalled. On her hand hung a black frayed top.
"Just stuff all my clothes in. I'll sort it out later when I'm in London."
Yes, I'm going to London. Right this evening. After our discussion last night, we would reach tomorrow and start my classes after two weeks. And still can't believe that I'm going to the Cambridge to London with Nate. Especially the part with Nate.
I never thought that I would see him again.
I let out a sigh and flopped into my bed. Could life get any better?
It could. There's still one thing. Will.
Ever since meeting him at Branwell's books, I couldn't shake him off my mind. And after our walk yesterday, I saw a different side of him. Which he hadn't shown to anyone but me. It made me special in a way. But we did argue yesterday about the ball. I was so close to saying that I was the girl. Though it doesn't matter if he knew now. But I just don't feel like telling him. Not yet.
"So." Jessie sat on my bed and asked, "What are you going to do with Will?"
If someone asked about this a few days ago, I would've called them off saying we have nothing between us. But now I want something between us. Friendship or something much more.
"I don't know." I replied. "He said he did want to talk to me and I told him to come today."
Jessie wiggled her eyes brows. "He's gonna ask you to be his girlfriend. Or better kiss you."
I didn't say anything. Cause even in my dreams, it still hadn't happened.
I sighed. "Even if he did, I'll leave to London and-"
"Long distance relationships doesn't work." She finished it for me. "But you do want to be his girlfriend."
I groaned. "Shut up." She snickered.
A knock saved me from further embarrassment. Nate poked his head in, "Your friends are downstairs Tessa. They want to meet you."
I smiled. Sophie called me earlier and I told her everything.
"Well, I'll pack your bags." Jessamine said. "You go downstairs."
I gave her a grateful look. "Thank you. You know how much I hate to pack."
She laughed.
"Maybe I could help you Jessie." Nate said. "Well, at least sit with you."
To my surprise, she blushed but agreed. Nate sat on my chair and started talking to her. Before leaving the room, I winked at her to which she flushed more.
Sophie was sitting in the couch. Jem was there too.
She looked at me and said, "Can't believe your going to London."
"Neither can I." I admitted.
And the afternoon went by, with Jem and Sophie cheering me up. I'm gonna miss them so much. I will visit them but our days of goofing around is coming to an end. We've all grown up now. And things are going to change. I really hope it's going to turn into something good.
"If your going to get lost in that brain of yours," Jem said. "Do it some other time."
"Noted." I said.
