Part 7- I care about you

Scott's POV

I can't believe Bryce tried to do this to clay, he went way to far. I was walking out of the washroom when I heard Justin screaming at the top of his lungs at Bryce and I knew something was wrong. I managed to arrive just in time before Bryce did anything really bad, I was enraged by it and knocked Bryce out while the other two jocks ran off, fucking cowards. I turned around towards clay and noticed he had passed out. 

"CLAY!" I panicked and ran over to him 

Justin stumbled over to clay, leaning down attempting to shake him away "Clay wake the fuck up!"

"Justin I'll take him home, I want you to inform people what happened" I said 

"I'll go tell Zach and Alex" said Justin as he ran off. I hope clay is gonna be alright, I picked him up bridal style and began walking outside to my car. Once I reached it, i opened the car door with my left hand and put him down in the passenger seat as carefully as I could, then I walked around to the drivers side of the car, hopped in and drove over to his house. 

After 10 minutes of driving I parked outside of his house, got out of the car and walked over to the passenger side. I picked Clay up and out of the car and brought him inside his house, as I was bringing him up the stairs I almost lost my balance, once i reached the top, my legs and arms were sore from all of the weight I was carrying. I walked down a small hallway and opened a door to a room that had two beds, assuming it's Justin and clays room. I then placed him down in the bed that was on the left of the room, hoping it was the right one. I took a few steps back and began wondering what I should do next, thinking, i began pacing around the room until an idea popped into my head. I ran to Clays bathroom in hope to find a first aid kit, I opened the first cupboard I could find and boom, there it was. I quickly grabbed it then walked back into clays room, kneeled down by his bedside, and began cleaning the wounds on his face.

It's been an hour now, I finished cleaning clays wounds a while ago but he is still passed out. There is no way I'm leaving his side right now, I feel really bad bad for him... clay could have gotten raped. I had a mix of frustration and fear flowing through my mind, I should have stayed near him at the party, I almost screwed up leaving clay by himself. As much as I hate to say it, Bryce is to strong for Clay to handle, he's literally the king of our school and plays football and baseball. I sat down on the floor with my back against the side of his bed, bringing my knees close to my chest and resting my arms on top of them, as my thoughts began to haunt me.

What if i didn't make it there in time? What if Bryce tries to do it again?? What if I can't protect him anymore??? It's all my fault this even happened... because I left the group mentioning clay was better then them, and now they think it's his fault, I just dragged clay into this... he doesn't deserve any of this crap, I should have just kept my mouth shut when I had the chance. Evil, evil things began over flowing my mind as I could feel myself tear up, in an attempt to prevent them, I put my hand over my eyes and rested my head on my knee.

Clays POV

I woke up frightened as I remembered clearly what happened, I look around noticing I was inside my own room, and noticing Scott on sitting on the floor.He had his hand over his face, was  he crying?... it sure looks like it. 

I quietly spoke his name as I sat up in my bed "Scott?"

He quickly lifted his head up and turned towards me, "Clay thank god" he comes over and sits on my bed "Are you ok?" He had a worried tone in his voice. 

"Im ok... could be better" I said while I laid back down on my back.

"Listen clay, I'm so sorry I wasn't there with you at the party. I should have stayed with you..."
