Part 11- Under the stars

Clays POV

It was about 10:00pm when we arrived back in town, I woke up as tony drove down our street and stopped infront of me and Justin's house. I was pretty tired, I'm sure we all were. My eyes still felt pretty heavy while I tried to snap myself awake so I could get up and out of the car. Of course, i remembered to wake up Scott, I wouldn't just leave him like that. I spoke his name loud, loud enough for him to wake up, he jolted up in the seat pretty fast which caused me to chuckled a little. Justin was already out of the car waiting for me, so I stepped out with Scott quickly.

Tony rolled his window down "I'll see you guys on Monday alright?"

"yeah see you" I responded 

Tony then drove off as me and Justin both turned over to Scott, who also turned into our direction as the same moment.

"hey man thanks for coming with us today, Do you need me and clay to drive you home or something?"

"nah it's alright. My house is only about three blocks away from here" Scott slightly nodded his head while replying to the question

"Ohh ok" Justin said as he started walking towards the front door to our house, leaving me, and Scott all alone

I begin to become a little shy as I looked down at the sidewalk, away from him "alright, guess I'll see you at school then?"  

"Yeah. I'll see you then" I looked up at him as he replied

He smiled then turned around and started walking down the dark sidewalk, that slowly swallowed him up in darkness as he walked away. I turned away and began walking towards the doorstep to my house,  then stopped, I looked back at Scott. Something was holding me back from walking up to the door, I felt like I needed to do one last thing, It felt like I was missing something, I know Scott kissed me in that restaurant to get Monty away from me, but... I still wanted to kiss him, I wanted to feel his lips on mine one last time before the day way over.

"Come on Clay! Let's go I don't want the god damn bugs getting inside" yelled Justin from the door

I decided to do one last thing before Scott got any further from me, I turned around and jogged towards him 

"Hey wait!" I yelled at him as I caught up to him

Scott turned back around towards me, as soon as I reached him, I placed my hands around the back of his neck and pulled him into me, before he must have known, I connected our lips once again.

He seemed pretty surprised at first, i don't blame him, i was surprised when he kissed me. I then felt his hands cup around my face as he began to kiss me back. Our kiss was soft and passionate, nothing needy or rough, it was just right, it was just me, and him, kissing under the stars on a Saturday night.

After a few seconds we lightly pulled away from each other, our foreheads still leaned against one another, both lost in each other's eyes, it was like we were the only ones in the world at that moment, but sadly, the moment couldn't last forever. We both slowly backed away from each other

Scott then smiled at me "I'll see you at school"

"See you" I replied smiling. 

He smiled at me one last time before turning away into the darkness, I watched as he was slowly submerged into the darkness of the night. Once I couldn't spot him anymore, I turned around and ran up to my front door, where Justin was still waiting for me. 

He grinned at me "Wow Clay im proud of you" 

We both went inside and walked upstairs to our rooms 

"Why thank you" I replied

I collapsed onto my bed looking at my ceiling, smiling like I've never had before, I felt overjoyed. Later on as I tried to fall asleep, i couldn't, my thoughts kept me awake.

Scott's POV

Well, here I am walking on the sidewalk pretty happy about what just happened, I couldn't stop thinking about Clay at that moment, We kissed each other under the stars, it almost felt like we were in some sort of movie, I smiled at the thought of the kiss we just had. But I soon began to think about earlier today, would Bryce leave Clay alone now? Did I actually manage to convince Monty and Charlie that I was dating clay? I don't know if I didn't or not, me and Clay for sure are not dating yet, I'd wanna ask him at a good time, and im not sure if now is a good time.

It took me about five minutes to walk back to my house from clays, I opened the front door, took off my shoes and headed up to my room. I took off my jacket, the rest of my clothes and changed into some new ones. I then walked to my bathroom which was right next to my parents room, they weren't home, they never are really. My parents are usually busy going on business trips around the state and crap so I don't see them very often. I got to the bathroom, quickly brushed my teeth then headed back to my bedroom. I flopped onto my bed with my phone and started scrolling through Instagram. I came across a lot of posts about baseball, it's one of my favourite sports so it's cool I guess. I started getting tired so I put down my phone and turned off my lamp, I turned back to my side and started to doze off, with many thoughts flowing throughout my head about what could happen on Monday.
