Standing close to Queen Amons giant mount, I watch as off in the distance a large army breaks the horizon. An army of Dwarves.
"Ironfoot," Gandalf mutters under his breath. I turn back towards the mountain seeing the dwarves cheering to see their allies from the Iron Hills marching their way to the mountain.
"Who is that?" I ask Gandalf.
"He doesn't look very happy," Bilbo mentions and Bilbo and I make breif eye contact with a shrug.
"It is Dain, Lord of the Iron Hills. Thorin's cousin," Gandalf replies and I scoff. Great another grumpy dwarf.
"Are they alike?" Bilbo asks, and I surely hoped not.
"I've always found Thorin the more reasonable of the two," Gandalf says and I gulp nervously.
"Stay close to me, Keena," Amon commands as she orders her army to face the oncoming dwarves, along with Thranduil's army. Amon reaches out a hand to me, and I take it before she hauls me on top her bear, setting me in front of her.
"Can I get one of these for myself," I muse and look behind me to face Amon who has a smirk on her face. "But in all seriousness, are we really going to war? I can't fight these dwarves, not when I'm allied with the ones in the mountain," I complain as I watch the elven armies settle facing the Iron Hill dwarves, the cousin of Thorin, Dain, riding a huge hog, leading the army.
"I think we both know as of right now, you are on neither side," Amon mentions and I heave a sigh, deeming it true. "To Thorin, you are a traitor to the dwarves, so an enemy to them, and you've joined me, alongside my army, so you fight with your kin." Amon finishes and I nod my head. "But we both know what is coming," She mentions and I look up at her. She nods her head at me and I turn back to face the dwarf army nervously.
The White Warg. Orcs. They're coming.
"We must stop this, theyres a greater threat coming," I speak out, towards Thranduil this time, but he ignores me and makes his way to the front of his army, along with Amon and Bard.
"He wont listen to you, love," Amon hisses, her hostily aimed towards Thranduil who gives the queen a small frown.
Before I knew it, Dain haults atop his hog on a boulder, comanding his army to stop just behind him.
"Good morning! How are we all? I have a wee proposition, if you wouldn't mind giving me a few moments of your time. Would you consider..." Dain begins yells, his warhammer slightly raised in the air. "Just sodding off?!" He shouts while leaning forwards.
I notice the people of LakeTown slightly fall back, stepping away in fear from the loud dwarf.
"All of you! Right now!" Dain adds, his words directed towards the scared men.
"Stand fast!" Bard yells out to his men and I watch with certainly his army ready their weapons once more.
"Come now, Lord Dain," Gandalf offers, stepping forward for the dwarf lord to see. Gandalf raises his staff out of respect before dipping his head slowly.
"Gandalf the Grey. Tell this rabble to leave, or I'll water the ground with their blood," Dain threatens Thranduil, pointing his hammer at the elven king. I feel my eyebrow quirk up upon his odd speech and nod my head slowly.
"There is no need for war between Dwarves, Men and Elves. A legion of Orcs march on the Mountain. Stand your army down," Gandalf demands and Dain laughs.
"I will not stand down before any Elf. Not least this faithless woodland sprite. He wishes nothing but ill upon my people. If he chooses to stand between me and my kin, I'll split his pretty head open! See if he's still smirking then," Dain argues back and from behind me I heard the dwarves from the mountain cheer Dains name. I roll my eyes before I hear Thranduil speak up.
"He's clearly mad, like his cousin," Thranduil says with a scoff.
