Well, this is Godkiller, the sequel to my earlier book known as "Kingdom of the Gods: Mythical Madness". If you haven't read that book...read it before you read this one. Anyways, on with the story.

WATCHER'S POV
I trudged on deeper into the forest. My legs felt like lead, and my head pounded with pain. My throat was dry, and my stomach growled every few seconds. My Green Dragon (that I had escaped on from the fight earlier) has starved to death earlier on, and I was going to get killed just like it in a few hours if I didn't do something.
My armor was weighing me down, but I wasn't going to throw it off. A Spartan warrior came back home from battle either "with his shield or on it". Meaning that he would come back victorious or dead. I wasn't going to die without a fight.
I was in Cornwall, England, in a dense forest. I had no idea what I was doing here, but I had flown away from the site of the battle in Greenland. Anywhere but there. I tripped on a loose root and fell over. I didn't have the strength to get up.
I laid there for several minutes before I heard an odd noise. Barking. The barking came from a little ways away, and it was quiet, but it was there. Dogs were coming...or maybe wolves, to eat on my helpless form. I looked up, resigning myself to my fate. I indeed saw dogs coming towards me, their breath misting in the cold night air. But these weren't your ordinary canines.
They were massive, at least seven or eight feet tall. They had massive claws and huge teeth. Their eyes gleamed yellow, and pieces of what looked like gold...armor lay upon them. They were definitely mythological creatures, but I didn't know what kind they were. They rushed up to me, barking and howling. A nice one started to lick my face, but a more aggressive-looking one barked at it and the nice one backed away from me.
Suddenly, another noise came bursting through the howling of the dogs: the thunder of hoofbeats. I heard the pounding of hooves on the hard-packed earth coming towards me. I looked up, and galloping through the trees was a rider.
The rider rode on top of a black horse. The horse's eyes flickered yellow in the night, and it gave a neigh and reared up as it stopped before me. Atop its back was a horrifying figure. The figure was a man, wearing black Elizabethan-era hunting gear with a cape of the same color. He wore a jet-black helmet with a T-shaped slit in the front, so I could see glowing yellow-red eyes under the helmet. But most horrifying of all were the massive deer's antlers springing from his head above his ears.
"Who are you?" asked the figure, leaning down a bit from his mount to look at me. He had a deep, raspy voice.
"My..my name's..." I said, struggling to speak.
"Speak up, boy!" the rider said, louder. The hounds started to growl, but the rider silence them with a wave of his hand.
"Watcher! My name is...Watcher!" I said, my head spinning from the effort to say it.
"I suspected as much...Ouranos' son. I knew your father well. I thought you would be coming here after your chilling defeat at the hands of the Syndicate, and your father told me to protect you if I found you. I do owe him a debt as well, so I'll honor it. Come, boy, let's get you some food and rest," the rider said, reaching a hand down to help me up.
"Who...are...you," I asked feebly.
"My name is Herne. Herne the Huntsman."
