Allison's Point of View.

We ended up having lunch with Hagrid. We all tried to get him to tell us what the three tasks would be but he was tight-lipped. All he had told us is that we were in for a hell of a year. By mid-afternoon, it started to drizzle.

Harry, Ron and I all found comfort in sitting next to the fire watching Hagrid drain out his socks while arguing with Hermione about House-Elves when he refused to join S.P.E.W. ''It would be doing them an unkindness Hermione,'' Hagrid tells her.

''It's in their nature to look after Witches and Wizards. That's what they like. What you would be doing would make them unhappy. You would be insulting them if you tried to pay them,'' Hagrid tells her.

''Harry freed Dobby and he was over the moon about it. He is even asking for wages now!'' Hermione tells him. ''Yeah well look at the family he was serving. Hermione any Elf would be glad to get out from underneath the Malfoys,'' I tell her.

''You may be able to free the odd Elf, but to convince most of them, Hermione,'' Hagrid tells her.

Hermione angrily shoves the box of badges back into her cloak. By the time it reached half-past five it had started to get dark. So, the four of us decided that we would walk back up to the castle, so for the Halloween fest and the choosing of the school champions.

''I'll come with ya,'' Hagrid tells us standing up. ''Just give us a sec,'' he tells us. We all didn't mind and waited for him but I nearly gag when a horrible smell reaches my nose.

Soon after I had smelt it the others did too. ''Hagrid what is that?'' Ron and I both ask at the same time. He turns around and looks at us sheepishly.

''Eau-de-Cologne,'' he mutters to us. ''Why don't you like it?'' he asks us. ''Just a tad strong,'' I tell him. He nods his head before muttering to himself about washing a bit of it off. He walks out of his cabin and I watch as he walks to the barrel outside the cabin.

''Eau-de-Cologne?'' Hermione asks in amazement. ''What's with the hair and suit?'' Harry asks. Ron just points outside. ''Look,'' he tells us. We all look out the window and see Hagrid straighten up.

If he wasn't blushing before he certainly is now. ''He's going up to the castle with her,'' Hermione says. ''I thought he was waiting for us?'' Hermione points. I just shrug at them and make my way to leave the cabin. ''Come on let's go,'' I tell them.

''He fancies her,'' Ron tells us as we make our way through the courtyard. ''If they end up having children, they'll be setting a world record. I bet any baby of theirs would way a ton,'' Ron continues.

Once we entered the Great Hall the Goblet of Fire had been moved. It was now placed in front of Dumbledore's vacant chair. ''Hope it's Angelina,'' Fred tells us when we sit down at the table. ''So do we,'' I tell him.

''We'll soon know,'' Hermione tells them. Everyone seemed to not be interested in the food. There were heaps of students who would crane their necks or stand up to see whether or not Dumbledore had finished his food.

Once the golden plates were cleared everyone had quietened down and watched as Dumbledore walked around the table to stand beside the Goblet of Fire.

''Now the moment you have all been waiting for. The Champion Selection,'' Dumbledore tells us all causing many people to clap and shout in excitement. Dumbledore turns around and approaches the goblet.

The bright blue flame glows red before a piece of parchment is spat out of it. Dumbledore reaches up and grabs the floating piece of parchment. He looks up at all of us and holds the paper up in the air.
