"Y/n! We're gonna be late, hurry up!" My friend Riley yelled at me impatiently.
I slipped my shoes on, cursing under my breath as her and I bolted out of the gym locker room. We heard the bell ring as we ran down the now empty halls. We ran into the classroom, earning a dirty look from our professor.
"Care to explain why you are, once again, five minutes late?" I huffed before walking over to my seat, Riley following close behind.
"I'm sorry sir, but it's not our fault the school put our classes across the campus from each other." I plopped down in my seat, crossing my legs as I caught my breath.
The professor glared at us once again before continuing his lesson. Another one of my friends, Johnny, leaned over to me.
"Did you get lost?" He smirked.
I shoved his face away as I brought my feet up to tie my shoes. He got the stuff out of my backpack for me, pulling out his water bottle for me in the process.
After the class was over, Johnny, Riley and I stayed in a little bit after to chat like we normally do.
I could feel his eyes on me, the eyes of the student named Choi San. He always stared at me. Every chance he got, his eyes would burn holes into the back of my skull.
We made eye contact. He began to stand up and walk down the stairs. I quickly looked away, tensing up at the thought of speaking to him. He really creeped me out.
Johnny sensed my discomfort, immediately glaring at San as he walked by. Johnny came over and wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me close to him. San slowed his pace as he walked past us, the two of them still holding intense eye contact, before San finally walked away.
I don't know what the two had against each other. I could tell it wasn't just San's continuous act of making me uncomfortable, they had some sort of history Johnny refused to talk about.
I removed his arm from my waist. "When are you gonna come through and tell me about the two of you?" He sighed and looked away from me.
"You don't need to worry about that right now." I rolled my eyes before picking up my bag and walking out, Riley following, Johnny knowing better than to follow me when I'm irritated with him.
Turning a corner, I had accidentally bumped shoulders with one of my other good friends, Haechan. He dramatically fell to the ground, gripping his shoulder and whining. Riley laughed while he played dead on the floor.
"Get up you drama queen." I chuckled. He stood up and pointed at me.
"Hey! That's drama King to you!" He hurried off, "see you in math!"
Riley went to her locker while I proceeded to mine. I hesitated for a second, seeing who was standing next to it. Hongjoong and...
San.
Hongjoong I had no problem with, he was nice to me. You could say we were friends, but he wasn't as close a friend as I was with Johnny or Haechan. I walked over and got what I needed from my locker as quickly as possible, praying to any god that was out there that Hongjoong wouldn't pay attention to me. But, of course, that's exactly what he did. "Hey Y/n!" I swallowed down my anxiety as I closed my locker.
"Hi Hongjoong." He smiled at me before looking over at San who was, surprisingly, looking down at his feet.
"I'm sure you two have met before," he said before nudging San's shoulder. "Introduce yourself." Hongjoong smiled.
San looked up at me before smiling. His smile caught me off guard, it was quite captivating. His dimples showing, his eyes turning into crescent moons.
"I'm Choi San, nice to meet you." He said softly, extending his hand to me.
I looked up at him, setting my nerves aside to try and be as respectful as possible.
"Y/n," I smiled, shaking his hand.
"What a wonderful name." He said looking into my eyes. I quickly looked away, pulling my hand from his.
"I should go, my friend is waiting. Good seeing you guys!" I gave them a smile and waved before hurrying to Riley who was watching from afar.
"Was his hand slimy?" She asked. I shoved her playfully before laughing as we took the long way around to our next class.
