Allison's POV 5
My day started out normal enough. Lunch was when things got out of my hand. When the bell rang for lunch, I ran out of class before I could bump into Cherry, and went to meet my friends at our usual table in the cafeteria. My friend group consisted of me, Amy, Rebecca, Carolina, and Tracy. I had met Carolina on the first day of kindergarten, and we didn't know anyone so we instantly became friends. A few days later, we became friends with Rebecca, Tracy, and Amy, and we've all been friends ever since.
I sat down at my lunch table and started to talk with my friends. We started talking and eventually, we were giggling like crazy about a celebrity we liked. I made a joke about him and my friends started laughing even harder, and I couldn't help but laugh along with a grin on my face. My step-mom told me that I got my humor from my dad, but I just made a joke whenever something funny came to mind.
As I was laughing, something from outside the cafeteria caught my eye. It was a man, no, a horse, no, it was a man and a horse, like those centaur things I read about once, and he was staring straight at me. Was I hallucinating?
"Hey guys," I said to my friends, "Do you see something outside?"
My friends all shook their heads and looked at me strangely. I quickly excused myself to go to the bathroom, I needed to splash some water on my face. As I walked toward the bathroom, I thought to myself. What's wrong with me? Do I have a fever? Is that why I just saw a centaur? Am I going crazy? These thoughts were interrupted when I bumped into Cherry. I hadn't even noticed her, it was like she just, appeared.
"Sorry," I said, which was probably the only thing I'd ever said to her.
"It's okay," Cherry responded.
I started walking again until I stopped dead in my tracks. There it was. The horse-man creature was staring at me, again. I was about to turn around and run when I heard Cherry's voice behind me.
"What the heck is that?" she asked.
"Wait, you can see the centaur too?" I replied, surprised. How could my friends not see the centaur, but Cherry could?
"I guess," she said.
There was a sudden breeze, and there was something flying in the air. It was a piece of paper. Cherry snatched it and quickly read it. Her eyes got huge and she turned to me.
"We need to go, now."
