Allison's POV 19

To be honest, I was scared of sword practice. What if I got cut? What if my arm got chopped off? What if I died? I didn't think anyone in Cabin 11 would purposely try to hurt me, but those bronze swords looked pretty sharp. My thoughts were interrupted when Luke announced that it was time for practice. I climbed down from my bunk and grabbed my sword.

"Hey Cherry," I said. "Are you scared for sword practice?"

She shrugged. "Not really. I think it'll be fun."

"Aren't you worried about the possibility of getting your head cut off or something?" I asked as we walked out the door.

"Nah, I'm excited to learn how to fight, so I can take down Malcolm if he gets any more annoying," she responded.

"You must really hate him," I said.

"You don't even know, he's stuck-up and thinks he's the best at everything when he's clearly not, and he's SUPER competitive, but not in a friendly way, in the most annoying way you can imagine," Cherry ranted. "And you know what? On our first day here, I saw a group of girls staring at him. How could anyone like that son of a-"

"Allie!" someone behind us yelled, and we looked back to see who it was. Connor was walking towards us with his sword.

"When will you stop calling me that?" I asked him, but I couldn't hold back my laughter.

"You know you love it," he responded, with his signature smirk.

"No I don't," I shot back. "I have a real name: Allison."

"I know, but I think Allie suits you better."

"Ahem," Cherry coughed. "I'll give you two some privacy," she said, winking at me. I sighed, wondering why my friends always teased me. At least it was kind of funny, unlike what that girl named Clarisse from the Ares cabin did to a camper who arrived yesterday.

"What was that about?" Connor asked.

"Apparently, everyone in Cabin 11 ships us, and Cherry, being the great friend that she is, won't stop teasing me about it," I responded.

"Do you ship us?" Connor asked me, staring me dead in the eye.

"What? No!"

"Why, do I not meet your standards?" he asked, feigning hurt.

"I'm 10 years old," I said, exasperated, "I don't even have standards yet!"

"Really? I already have my future planned out" Connor said.

"Oh yeah? So tell me, what does the future of Connor Stoll look like?"

"Okay, but you can't judge. I don't have it entirely figured out yet, but I have the basics. So after college, we get married and have two kids, a boy, and a girl. We live somewhere in the city, but we come to camp in the summer so our kids can train." Connor kept talking, but I didn't hear anything after "we get married". I was too busy being shocked. Connor thought we were going to get MARRIED? And have KIDS?! We were 10 years old. 10! I didn't even notice that I had stopped walking and my mouth was hanging open until Connor gave me a funny look.

"You okay Allie?" he asked. I didn't answer for a few seconds.

"You see us, getting married?!" I exclaimed, starting to walk again.

"Yeah," he said casually. "Why? Is something wrong with that?" he said, smirking at me while my face turned a dark shade of red.

"But, but we're 10! And we've only known each other for a week, and we're not even dating! I can understand planning out your future with someone you're in a relationship with, but this-"
