Cherry's POV 14

"HOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNGHGHHGHGHGH"

"What the-," I said to myself. What the heck was that? I was laying underneath the big pine tree on the hill. There was barely any free time anymore. I was always so busy with all of these classes. No one could really figure out who my parent was. It was kind of disappointing. I thought it would be cool to have a godly parent I could be on good terms with. Unfortunately, a lot of the campers had not been claimed for several years, and probably never would. I hoped that wouldn't happen to me. Somewhere out there, someone was waiting to claim me. I was sure of it.

But anyway, since no one knew who my godly parent was, I was enrolled in all of these random classes to see what I was good at. All first years had to take Swordsmanship, Archery, Arts and Crafts, Basic History, and a minimum of one "elective." However, I had to take multiple electives. I took Medical Training, Foreign Language, Forging and Mechanics, Theater, Equestrianship, and Music. It was absolutely crazy. I think I am a special case because other kids in the Hermes cabin didn't have as many electives as I do. Chiron kept calling me to the Big House to fill out these surveys but seemed disappointed each time. It was quite strange. I hoped that was normal. I kept wondering whether or not-

"Cherry. What are you still doing here?" Allison asked.

"Umm, what? Am I supposed to be somewhere? I thought all classes are done for the day. Oh no, did Luke call for another random cult gathering? Someone should tell him it's not funny anymore," I said.

"No, not that," Allison laughed, "it's dinner time! Supposed to be the best! Didn't you hear the conch horn?"

"Oh yeah! I completely forgot about that. Are you talking about that loud, annoying noise from earlier? I was assuming it was one of Connor and Travis's pranks," I groaned. I was quickly introduced to the pranks of Connor and Travis. While I was gone, the brothers dumped toilet water all over my bunk. I'd have to sleep on the ground for a bit. RIP.

"Yeah. That signals that it's time for dinner. We gotta go to the dining pavilion. Come on! Connor and Travis promised to save us some seats!" Allison squealed, excitedly. I couldn't help but notice how happy Allison was. She seems to have found her calling. She fits right in here.

While following Allison to the dining pavilion, I noticed how much closer we have gotten. I don't know, but she seems more friendly now. So have a bunch of others. Everyone in the Hermes cabin is pretty funny and nice to hang out with. Maybe I am liking it here. That's a neat thought.

We arrived at the dining pavilion and OH. MY. GODS.
