Cherry's POV 6
We were running, as if for our lives. My head was filled with questions about the note.
I know you think you are strange, different. It is because you are. Normal people can't see that centaur. Come to the cab on 5th street in 30 seconds. It has all your answers. Also, you need to run before they get suspicious.
Who sent us this? How did I get it? Who would get suspicious? Why could I see the so-called centaur? Allison managed to grab the note from my hand and read it over. She ran even faster. Dang, I've never seen her run this fast in P.E.
As I reached the corner, I saw the taxi. It would look completely normal, except the fact that it did not have a driver and it kept fading in and out, almost as if it was misty, but it was a clear, sunny day. I had a few doubts about just randomly jumping into a random cab, but what could the worst thing be? I mean, no one was in it anyways. I mean, it's not stranger danger if there is no stranger, right?
Allison and I hopped in and immediately, the cab doors locked and started driving. The weirdest part was that when I looked out the window, the objects were moving so fast, it was as if we were the Flash, but the car felt like we weren't moving. Feeling completely safe, I turned to Allison.
"Hey, um, where do you think we are going?" I said, trying to break the awkward silence.
"I'm not sure, but I hope it will lead to some answers. I'm also worried what my parents are gonna think when they see I'm missing," Allison said. Wow, those were the most words she has ever said to me.
"I hope so too. And maybe we can find a way to call our parents wherever we are going. I actually had a strange dream last night about you and some random half horse, half-person. It was creepy," I admitted.
"A centaur," she stated.
"What?"
"That's a centaur. A half-man half-horse. I could have sworn I saw one earlier. To be honest, I saw one earlier today. Actually, I've been seeing things for a while now," Allison slowly said and waited for my response.
"I do too! A little shadow here or something others don't see. I thought I was hallucinating. I can't believe you see them too," I stated. Who knew Allison and I were...different together. It gave me some comfort. I felt closer to her as if we were now connected by some strange bond.
"Here, this belongs to you," Allison said and handed the note to me. I pocketed the note. It was so strange that we both happened to be in the same place, at the same time, and with a mysterious note. Someone was definitely behind this.
The cab screeched to a stop and dissolved into mist, forcing us to flop on the ground. Where the heck were we? Then, we saw a huge orange banner. Camp Half-Blood. What was Camp Half-Blood? Why would they only have half of their blood? Where did the other half go?
Allison walked up to the top of the hill, next to a beautiful, huge tree. It reminded me of my Tree of Life. She stared in awe at something. I ran up after her. I looked over the hill and saw--WOAH.
