Hawkodile strolled around the castle. "Dr. Fox? Hello?"
He stopped himself before a feeling when through his body. "My bodyguard senses are tingling..." He stopped and sniffed the air.
It smelled like... smoke?
He gasped. "Oh no!"
Hawk darted through the halls. He screamed everyone's name in fear. When he made it to the kitchen, black puffs of smoke came out.
Dr. Fox and Richard caught up to him.
"They must have set the oven on fire. Our friends are in danger!" Fox said immediately.
Hawkodile kicked open the door and found Unikitty and Puppycorn on the floor. They couldn't move and they couldn't breathe.
Just as he was about to run in, the doctor grabbed his hand.
"You can't charge blindly into a fire! You'll kill yourself!"
He took a deep breath before pulling his hand away. "It's my duty as a bodyguard to protect them."
He dashed into the room.
"Hawkodile!" Dr. Fox exclaimed.
Hawkodile pushed through the flames, already feeling slight burns, but he kept pressing forward.
"Hawkodile..." Unikitty coughed when she saw his friend.
"Princess! Are you OK?"
"I'm... fine..."
He picked her up. "Where's Puppycorn?"
She used all her might to point over to the table, which her little brother was stuck under.
Hawk cradled Unikitty in his other arm to prevent her from getting more hurt and he walked over to Puppycorn.
He flipped the table off of him and picked him up.
The pup was only burned a little more then Unikitty. But neither of them were as burned as Hawkodile.
Hawk turned around. The oven was about to explode. There was no way they were going to make it out in time.
Unless...
He threw the siblings out of the room and they landed on Richard.
Dr. Fox looked at Unikitty and Puppycorn before looking at the bodyguard.
She got one glimpse of him before the whole thing exploded.
"HAWKODILE!" She exclaimed, running as fast as she could to the flames.
