The ambulance pulled up to the castle and firefighters helped Hawkodile out.

"Richard, can I go with him?" Dr. Fox asked. She didn't want to leave her friend alone.

"Sure. You can go with Hawkodile while I take Unikitty and Puppycorn to the doctor to get their burns healed."

Fox hugged him, which was a little hard since he was a brick and all. "Thank you, Richard."

For a brief second, Richard was smiling too, but it soon faded away.

Dr. Fox hopped up into the ambulance, sitting next to her friend. The doors shut and it started moving.

The first few minutes of the ride was silent. Fox held his boxing glove tight. "When we get to the hospital, they'll help you and make sure you get better."

She let go of his hand, setting hers on her lap, and sighed. "I hope you'll get better..."

A couple seconds later, she could feel his glove touching her. She looked down and saw that he was now holding her hand again.

She smiled. "I love you, Hawkodile."

Hawkodile smiled as well, as if he was saying "I love you, too."

Unikitty and Puppycorn sat in the back of the van. Richard was driving them to the doctors office. Unikitty fell asleep, and Puppycorn was awfully quiet, but it sounded like he was trying not to cry.

"Puppycorn, are you OK?" Rick asked.

"It's all my fault!" He exclaimed, covering his face with his hands.

"What's your fault?"

"The accident! It's my fault the kitchen blew up..." Tears filled up his eyes. "It's my fault Hawkodile got hurt..."

"No it's not. It was an accident. It wasn't on purpose."

"But I should have listened to you before I decided to cook, and now it's my fault that Hawkodile almost died."

Richard had never seen Puppycorn this sad. He didn't know how to comfort him.

The rest of the ride was quiet as Puppycorn silently cried his feelings away.
