Chapter 35: She'll Always Be Safe

Hawkodile screamed, standing up. "Eagleator!" He exclaimed, immediately getting in a fighting stance.

"Hawkodile!"

His body started to hurt, and he let out a huge groan, falling down to the floor.

"Hawkodile, you're still hurt! You're in no condition to fight!"

He looked up and saw Dr. Fox standing in front of him. Unikitty was floating beside her, worried.

She helped him back into his bed. "You were sleeping. Are you OK?"

He sighed in relief. It was just a dream.

"What was it about Eagleator you were saying?"

"Oh! Uh... nothing. I just had a dream and..."

"And it ended up being a nightmare?" Fox guessed.

"Yeah. Exactly." He admitted.

"What was it about?" Unikitty asked.

Fox nudged her, and glared at her like she shouldn't have said anything.

"Nothing. Well, nothing you'd understand..."

Fox looked at him and smiled. "We'll give you some space."

The girls left his dojo, and he leaned against the wall.

It was all just a dream. He convinced himself, but a voice in his head kept telling him otherwise.

He's coming for her. It pestered. And there's nothing you can do about it.

Hawk shook his head, hoping to get the thought out, but he couldn't.

Your weakened, burned state can't do anything to stop it, nor is it in shape to protect her.

Tears filled up his eyes. "No!" He exclaimed aloud, his voice breaking. "No matter what happens, I will keep her safe. I won't let him attack her just because I'm in love."

He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. A few minutes passed as he waited for the thought to come back.

But it didn't.

He smiled.

Nothing's gonna happen to her on my watch.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while! I've been busy with school recently, and haven't had the time to update the story. So, here's two chapters I came up with! Hopefully you can figure out what I'm trying to get to here, and some things make a little more sense. I promise more updates are coming soon, just not every day. I would never leave this story, so please don't get upset at me for not updating it that frequently.
