Richard picked up Dr. Fox on her way home. She sat in the back of the car with Unikitty and Puppycorn.

"Are you guys OK?" She asked worryingly.

"Is Hawkodile OK?" Unikitty answered with a question.

"He's fine."

Tears started to come out of her eyes. "It's all my fault he got hurt..."

"No, it's not. It was an accident."

"But the accident wouldn't have been caused if I listened to Richard."

"No, sis. Don't blame it on you. It was my fault." Puppycorn said, joining the conversation. "I was the one who pressed all the buttons. It's MY fault Hawkodile got hurt."

"I shouldn't have trusted you with the oven in the first place. It's my fault."

"I shouldn't have helped cook at all. It's my fault."

"Stop it, you two!" Dr. Fox broke up the fight. "It was an accident. None of you caused it. It was no one's fault."

Everyone was quiet the rest of the way home. Even when they were home, no one talked at all. They all felt sad about the accident.

Dr. Fox went to bed early that night. She was so tired after, well, everything.

She was just about to turn off her lamp before she stopped herself.

It felt weird to go to bed without the assurance that Hawkodile would protect her.

Fox sighed and flopped down on her bed.

I hope things will get better around here... She prayed, then turned out her light, drifting off to sleep.
