Richard had called the firefighters when Hawkodile ventured into the flames, and they quickly stopped the fire from spreading
"Did you all evacuate safely?" One of the firefighters asked.
"No!" Dr. Fox exclaimed, her voice breaking. "My friend is still in there!"
"Don't worry, ma'am, we'll try and get him out safely."
Tears started to fill up in her eyes. "Please... I don't want to loose him."
"What is your friend's name?"
"Hawkodile. His name is Hawkodile."
"He ran in to protect the princess and her little brother." Richard added.
A couple minutes later, the fire was completely out. She could see a faint image of her friend being pulled by all the other firefighters.
"Hawkodile!" Dr. Fox exclaimed when he was completely out of the kitchen.
"Is he... going... to be OK?" Unikitty asked, finally speaking after the accident.
"He survived, but barely. He needs to be escorted to the hospital right now."
Richard nodded and called an ambulance to get here as fast as they could.
They laid him on the wall, and Dr. Fox sat down next to him. She put her hand on his cheeks. They were still warm from the fire.
"You are going to be OK. You are going to survive."
She was handed an icepack by one of the firefighters and she pressed it on Hawkodile's burns.
She smiled, not thinking, and kissed him on the forehead. "I know you are going to be OK..."
She continued to treat his burns, and while she did, she could see his mouth forming into a smile. He was happy.
